Dislikes: Being exiled from Demon World, whenever Charliese is mean to him, and swimming.

Personality: Baton is a friendly and upbeat demon. He has strange views on non-demons and refers to them as "surface-dwellers", and he tends to consider both himself and non-demons to be delinquents (delinquents in demon terms are just people that have basic decency for others). He's very friendly towards others, but is known to get annoying towards others by rambling on about things to uninterested listeners or falsely declaring that he and the other demons are going to take over their world (they're not). Baton occasionally tries to act evil and demon-like, but his attempts always fall flat because he's too nice to intentionally do anything evil.

Home: Animal Planet, formerly Demon World but is currently "exiled"

History: Baton was born and raised in Demon World. He met and "befriended" Charliese in school, although unknowingly to him she's more annoyed with him than anything. Regardless, the two often got paired together on assignments. At some point, Baton and Charliese tried being an "evil demon duo" who tried to cause trouble in the surface world, but their schemes very went anywhere due to Baton being too kind to actually be evil. Eventually Charliese was fed up with this, and somehow managed to get Baton exiled to the surface world. However, it's implied that Baton isn't actually exiled at all and that Charliese has just tricked the very gullible demon into thinking so.

Current-Bio: Baton currently hangs out on the surface world. He occasionally attempts to act demon-like, but is too nice to actually do anything evil. He usually is seen trying to get Charliese to be nice to him again and get him unexiled.

Meta-History: Baton was created in 2017 and is one of the last characters that I've created that I've put into my Animals story. He first appeared as a random demon character in my head. Originally Baton was meant to act evil but be harmless, but I later decided to make him just harmless in general and only occasionally trying and failing to act demonlike. The whole "exiled from Demon World" part of his backstory wasn't a thing until I created Charliese. The reason why Baton is listed as a demiboy with question marks in his gender identity section is because I'm a bit unsure how to label him. I've previously referred to him with both he/him/himself and they/them/themself and I'd like both to stick. I wasn't sure what gender I wanted Baton to identify as originally either when I created him (as seen in these doodle concepts: Baton Concept Art ) but I'm leaning towards demiboy. I'm just not completely decided at this point. His hair length has also changed a few times.

Relationships with Other Characters:

Charliese: Baton considers Charliese to be his friend, but doesn't seem to understand why she's mean to him. The two used to be a duo who tried to cause trouble for some non-demons, but Charliese somehow got Baton exiled from Demon World (which is difficult to do) after being fed up with his nonsense.
