Hypnosis

Hypnosis is skilled in hypnosis and sleep-themed magic. Though not otherwise dangerous, falling into their trap can be an enemy's fatal mistake.

The Roaring 20’s was a time of speakeasies, flappers, and mobs. Of course, you can’t mention the Mob without mentioning the Heads of Cerberus. Cerberus was a set of three siblings who had immigrated from France to America in search of better opportunities. They quickly became disenchanted with the new world they found themselves in, and were forced to turn to criminal activities in order to provide for themselves. They steadily proved to be competent in their respective field, and soon found themselves at the head of a small Crime Syndicate.

The Family became exceptionally powerful under the leadership of the Cerberus Siblings. They had their hands in every pot of pudding, and became successful in both standard business and criminal activity. Other Syndicates took notice of their activities, but only one dared to act against them. It wasn’t often gangs came to blows over trivial things, but when an enemy mobster made a pass at the middle Cerberus, war was ignited when the other Syndicate received the mobster’s head delivered to their doorstep. The warring gangs were often matched evenly in their spats.. Until the Mast Massacre.

Slothful Mistake

The middle-child of the Cerberus Heads was often called the ‘softest’ between the siblings. She was known for not harming the eldery or young children, occasionally giving to charities, and having a slight degree of leniency. Her ‘softness’ often resulted in others believing she was weak.. A mistake they would remember when having their teeth knocked out. Though she was not a force to be reckoned with, it wasn’t a secret that she was a lazy-son-of-a-gun. She often did the bare minimum for her work, only ever ‘getting serious’ when it was required for the organization.

On the eve of the massacre she received a tip from an internal spy that the enemy family was planning a massive attack on the main base. Despite the tip, she decided to take a nap and inform the other Heads once she had woken up. She woke up to screams.

The Mast Massacre resulted in the deaths of sixty-three gangsters. A small army surprised those inside of the manor by attacking from the front, going in guns blazing. They mowed down everyone within the estate, including the non-gang affiliated family members of the cerberus heads. Men, women, and children fell to the floor in bloody heaps. By the time she was awake, the damage had mostly been done. Her family was dead. Enraged, the woman armed herself and strode into the line of fire - taking out almost half of their forces before succumbing to her numerous gunshot wounds.

When she woke again, it was as Hypnos: A Daemon of Sloth.

Hope and Regret

Hypnos was alone when she woke up after the transformation. Confused, she immediately began to search for answers. It became clear that no one else could see her new form, acting as if it was a miracle that she survived the attack. She abdicated her title to a trustworthy confidant, and began a desperate search in the hopes of understanding what she was.

Eventually, her research led her to a small town in Eastern Europe. At the town’s center was a library. It seemed to have no name, but the residents of the town referred to it as the ‘Eternal Library’. Hypnos combed through a dozen books, but eventually fell into an accidental slumber. When she awoke, the first thing she saw was a boot. Looking up, she met the gaze of a creature like her.. With horns and pointed ears resembling her own. Offering a lopsided grin, the Daemon introduced herself to her future-lover.

“Why, hello there dollface. Hope yah don’ mind if I ask a few questions?”
