Sumasula is a traveling wizard dedicated to disaster relief. While he bases his career around helping those in need, his morals are unclear, and his constant waryness around men of the law makes him a great suspect for illegal magic.
A very tall and large man in his mid 40s. He has snow-white hair styled in waist-length dreadlocks, tied in a high ponytail, and adorned with metal rings. His facial hair is kept shaved in a handlebar mustache with especially fluffy sideburns, also adorned with metal rings on both sides. Both his ears are pierced several times. His eyes are of a vivid, almost unsettling green color. He has a round face with a jovial expression, freckles on his cheeks and shoulders, and wrinkles around his nose and eyes.
His outfit is made of pointy shoes with tassets, large baggy pants, and a sleeveless, collarless tight shirt, whos herms are embroidered. He wears a gigangic metallic belt buckle on his belly from which hangs a silk sash, hanging in front under the buckle, and draping on each side, covering small pouches and tools he has attached to his belt. His arms are entirely bare asides of a pair of simple metal bracers. His cloak is of a brilliant sky blue and white, plain on top, and lined with a pattern of eagle feathers. It has large golden epaulets that point upwards, making a crescent shape, from which hang many golden tassets. His wizard hat is blue, topped with a golden orb, and the hem is ligned with golden stylized sun rays. In front of the cape hangs a bright blue tabard with a golden sun symbol.
He does not wear his witch garb at all times, and likes to swing his cape backwards over its epaulets to reveal his bare arms underneath. When he wears his hat, his hair is tucked underneath. He also carries a large staff that he mostly uses as a non-lethal blunt weapon.
Sumasula is very clever and hides his true motives behind a flashy, unbreakable facade.
He appears as a bombastic, cheerful man of selfless nature, living to help the less fortunate, in constant movement to wherever place needs his help, and friendly with anyone he meets alone the way. His friendliness borders into over familiarity at times, and he expertly teases the less tactile people he comes across for fun, knowing exactly how to toy with their preferences without getting a rise out of them. He has a quite dramatic, loud way of speaking, and likes to announce his presence in a formal way when arriving somewhere new.
An advantage he has above other witches is he has incredible strength on top of his magic, and doesn't hesitate to solve problems like the unknowings do or to get his hands dirty in the process. Light runes are his specialty and he's all about presentation. The Knights track him closely because of his dubious behaviour and rumors following that he is a healer, but he's extremely elusive. The only flashy things he does are his times helping the people, and while it's easy to track him that way, it's using a trail of the testimonies of those he helped, who often fell under his shiny, shiny charm and don't have much useful or unbiased information...
Sumasula keeps his background a secret, only hinting that he is from a line of powerful witches, and giving no information about his master.
During his youth, he aquired martial training among the unknowing, and is as a result skilled in multiple forms of non-magical combat, something rare among witches.
Spells
- Aura of flame: shrouds himself in a circling ray of fire, dissuading foes from approaching him.
- Aura of light: shrouds himself in a warm, glowing aura.
- Gleaming relief: creates a large magic circle on the ground that maintains a warm temperature and shields from violent wind and projectiles.
- Stunning ray: casts a bolt of light in the direction it's pointed at, with remarkable precision. When shot at a target's face, it stuns them for a fraction of a second.
Tools
- Staff: topped with a golden orb, it allows him to concentrate magic in a single spot, and to throw it in the direction it's pointed as. Also functions as a blunt weapon.
- Special inks: Sumasula draws his spells using a potent ink that increases the power of the magic cast.
- Revigorating drink: A jug of a special concoction that gives a boost of energy. Being a strong, agile, active man, Sumasula runs out of stamina too quickly for his liking.
