Few find themselves enamored with Lillia's personality; aloof and always in her own world, the woman appears disconnected from the rest of reality. With her primary companions being carrion-feasting corvids and departed spirits, she finds the ordinary troubles of most humans quite vexing. Lillia serves as counsel to the deceased, using her powers of necromancy to help them accomplish what feats they could not do while living so they can find peace. Lillia is very quiet; she values listening more than talking and does not enjoy when others blather. She is a woman of few words, but many say each time she speaks, it's something meaningful.

Those who manage to look past her offsetting demeanor can find quiet wisdom and kindness in Lillia. Though she's not one to grow close with many people, she does enjoy the company of a select few.

Origins

Some say Lillia was gifted with the ability to commune with the departed; others say she was cursed. Either way, Lillia's unique ability allows her exclusive insight into the afterlife. Unlike many humans, she does not fear Death. She knows what follows after the last breath is drawn; what she truly fears is leading a life that becomes meaningless.

A loner, Lillia's peculiar power naturally made her an outcast from a young age. Few were delighted with her unnerving stories and demeanor, so Lillia learned not to talk. After all, why waste your breath if no one was to listen? Many theories about the origin of Lillia's powers are floating around in local legends; some believe her to be the daughter of Death itself. Others believe her to be a descendant of a long line of ancient witches. The truth is likely somewhere between, but the woman has never confirmed or denied any outlandish theories.

Lillia began studying magic at a very young age. Learning to harness the natural powers of the world around her was something that she poured her heart into, and it made her feel less isolated.

She also became fascinated by ornithology, particularly when it came to corvids. She found their quiet intelligence and vigilant nature to be something she could relate to and began forging bonds with local flocks by feeding and training them. She never caged any of her avian companions, though; she felt that doing so would undermine their bond. She valued her birds choosing her companionship rather than being forced into it.

Roaming the town in her bleak attire and escorted by carrion-feasting birds did not give others the best impression of her, and she was very quickly ostracized. Labeled a freak or delinquent, few would extend the pleasantry of conversation to the young woman.

Naturally, Lillia began to retreat. Still, she would be charming to those who would speak with her. Lillia occasionally extends her help to the local monster-hunting organization, The Ram's Head. Her powers of necromancy, though limited, have proven to be an asset in their endeavors.
