Diana Laine

Diana is a woman of grand stature, standing tall and dressing so as well. Her clothing, whilst mostly business and dress wear, all frame her figure well. She is the classic example of the woman you'd see walking out of a business meeting and you'd just wish you could carry yourself like she does. That aside, her skin is clear- no blemishes, no freckles, no spots of any kind.

Too perfect to be natural, and yet she stands there with naught on her face. Her eyes in pictures are a brilliant shade of blue, but when you get close you can notice the subtle heterochromia in them, the colouration affected by her fusion with the nera of her own Seviper. Her hair is long and clean cut, falling neatly strand for strand when she moves. It's black in colour, and in recent years it has grown to have a natural stripe of purple at the front of her bangs.

Diana grew up with harsh conditions. Her family, a leading group from Brookfell, moved into Grovehart for "better opportunities" in their syndicate. Her being the only daughter of 'Mr. Laine's' business made her a target- even when he tried not to get her involved. Of course, crime in Grovehart was bigger. Meaner. Brookfell was poor and a child's game to crawl your way up the foodchain, but Grovehart was where the money was at. It was where the science was, the money was, the whole network was. Several years her and her family were 'safe' as much as they were, before one fateful week right on Diana's 13th birthday. On her way back from school a rival's party's assassin had come, pretending to be her chauffeur. She was kidnapped and held hostage for several days before a hitman hired by her father came upon her rescue.

Her mother subsequently left, then, changed their names, even moved to Wintervale with her and ensured that her daughter had no connection to any crime whatsoever. There, she grew up under the name of 'Diana Laine'.

Her trauma from the kidnapping was never really processed, preferring to think that it was all just 'a bad dream and nothing more'. Her coping mechanism was escapism into artwork, both creating and collecting. Her rooms would be filled with canvases and sculptures, all depicting the fragility of the human form. To follow in the footsteps of her father and to ensure she would always be able to get what she wanted when she wanted it, she started taking business classes. Turns out that with the family out of the way, her birth father had a business boom. Of course, she knew the how's and the why's, so- she finished her studies top of her class. Became one of the best graduates Wintervale had ever seen and when she reached the age of 22 she moved back to Grovehart- and became an intern at her father's business. Here, she managed to climb up the ladder from mail room to standing beside her father in meetings- and even then getting invited into the inner circle. Of course, in the background, she took notes of his clients- his work, the supplies and the demand for them. After all, why build up your own clientele when you can just get it from someone else?

It was risky. Her father still had no clue she was his daughter and judging from the fact that he hadn't raised a single finger during her upbringing, she wasn't planning on having him find out either. Instead, she would learn the trade directly from him. Being so close to the man on the top brought people coming after you, after all. Desperation made people stupid, and reckless, and her father tried to dig the trade a little too deep before he was cut off. She never knew what happened to him-- not exactly-- but after he was declared dead she took control of the company's assets. With a paternity proof allowing her claim, she easily took control legally. Ever since, she has wormed her way to the top of the crime syndicate and build her empire out of her father's remains.

After she became the top dog of the business, she made changes and suited it to her own needs, dabbling more in the creative arts and the collection of such, through any means necessary.
