∞Summary∞ General InformationHans has never been a wealthy or well-known man. He was little more than a peasant, but he never stooped to stealing or begging, relying upon hard work and perseverance above all else. Plenty capable of smithing a little bit and fixing simple things, he managed to get by well enough. However, when strange beasts began overrunning Hans' hometown, he wasted no time in acting. While others cowered in fear and the town's leadership seemed to let it happen, Hans did all he could to become a leader, and help his people fight back. The countless battles have taken a toll on the young man, though, as he slowly has begun looking more and more like the monsters he slays. History When the beasts came, no one was prepared. For something like that, there really was no way to “prepare”. It was unexpected, thought completely impossible before that night. The whispers of beast attacks on farmsteads outside of town, theoccasional missing person, they were all just fiction to keep the people’s focus away from the “real” dangers. Political extortion, religious corruption, those were the things everyone should have been worrying about, right? At least, that’s what all of the realists thought before the night the beasts came. The streets were littered with corpses and blood splatter while rich and poor alike hid away in their homes. That is, save for a select few who saw themselves brave enough to face monstrosities once thought to be only works of fiction. Hans was one of those men, right from the very start. Certainly, he was only the occasional apprentice of the town’s blacksmith, but the blacksmith was quite thoroughly maimed and killed at this point. Hans was poor, with little to his name save for his clothing, a small coin purse of spare change and the forgehammer gifted to him by the smith. On account of the fact that the smith was dead, Hans assumed he wouldn’t miss the large Warhammer he’d recently smithed. With the large, spiked hammer, Hans took to the streets, no regard for his own well-being. It was that lack of regard along with his raw strength and determination that got other men to follow him shortly into the night. It took very little time for the poor man to be recognized for his valor. When the church hunters were established only days after that grim night, Hans was the first the clergy turned to. It was there that the hunter first met Father John Alabaster. Admittedly, it was only in passing. They would have no idea how closely their lives would be intertwined later on, in a little fishing village just south-east of town.  ∞Likes & Dislikes∞
