Lettie's sarcastic personality often gives the impression that she's cold-hearted, but she cares a lot about her crew family. Her first action when anything goes wrong is to check on the welfare of her crewmates. Her level head and ability to think on her feet earned her the position of Senior Officer in a record time, but she didn't let the honor get to her head.

Lettie treats her juniors with respect, knowing that at one time she was in the same position. However, she makes sure that she gets the same respect from them.
