Sofia Landvik

Overall Sofia has a very calm and gentle demeanor. Due to her good manners she approaches people friendly while being polite and careful when talking to others. She is scared of stepping on other people's landmines and will try her best to avoid misunderstandings or trouble in general. Some people take advantage of this kind side of hers which resulted in Sofia becoming more closed off and sceptical towards others, often observing their behaviour and expressions to discover their true intentions. A habit which she developed over the years to protect herself, especially since she also met people who only wanted to befriend her because of her rich and famous family. Sofia can read other people easily due to her long experience as actress. Because of this she doesn't have many friends, quickly realizing if someone is dishonest with her.

Due to being perfectionistic and taking school seriously, Sofia plans ahead and becomes anxious when she needs to re-organize her plans abruptly. Thus, she is very unspontaneous and feels better when being prepared for every single situation. She is often unable to adapt herself to new situations, but will try her best to come up with something when needed. Later on, Sofia improved at improvising, but it keeps being something what she dislikes to do.

Despite being slightly insecure of herself and worrying about the smallest things, Sofia is still a courageous girl who won't give up and wants to make the best out of her life, no matter how hard her current situation might be. Nevertheless, she doesn't want to let others know whenever she is nervous or afraid of something. Because of this Sofia makes use of her acting skills to hide her insecurity and embarrassment. This is not always working though. Since Sofia is a honest person she cannot lie someone into the eyes and will usually say the truth if someone asks her something. Her acting skills work the most when she is playing a different role, but not when it comes to her own persona.

All in all it can be said that Sofia cares a lot for the well-being of others and is a very supportive person who geniunely wants to help people. Moreover she is not the type of person who looks down on others, also respecting students who are said to be "below" the main building classes. In addition Sofia doesn't participate in bullying other students, even when it means that she ends up being an outsider. She will gladly become a loner then. Thus, she is not a tag-along and thinks for herself, being a girl who doesn't let herself being controlled by the majority's hatred and stays loyal to her morals. In her opinion hate and jealousy will only make a person blind in the end.

Sofia doesn't have many real friends as her reputation makes it almost impossible. She has many relationships and acquaintances but only a few real friends whom she can trust...

Gakushuu Asano Crush, Boyfriend (later)

When Sofia was still a new student at Kunugigaoka Junior High she saw Gakushuu as her "ideal type" - someone charming, athletic and incredibly smart with great leadership skills. She admired the top student for his intelligence, as well as confidence and even participated in some of his tutoring lessons to perfectionize her Japanese. It was seen that she always respected him deeply, even wishing to be more like him in some areas.
However, things only became more complicated for Sofia, as she realized that Gakushuu hid a lot of things. Due to Sofias ability to see through fake smiles and illusions, she quickly got to know about Gakushuus true self and knew when he was faking a smile. She became scared of his driven and manipulative personality, fearing his power and disliking his methods when it comes to bring class 3-E down. Due to this Sofia decided to spend less time with him - to not get involved into his plans or him in general. Of course this didn't get unnoticed by Gakushuu and he would pay a bit more attention to her than usual.

Sofia was really careful when it came to interactions with the student council president, even starting to avoid him. Nevertheless it didn't work out and she got involved more with Gakushuu than she ever expected, much to his amusement. Even though she finds him to be very intimidating, the blonde girl never stopped admiring the no.1 student, eventually facing her fear and trying to understand him and his motives better.
Both of them have more interactions from this point on, usually with Gakushuu teasing Sofia for her naivety, as well as her friendliness towards class 3-E, but also secretly respecting the girl for staying loyal to her morals and opinion that everyone deserved respect and fair treatment.
He liked how she stood up against their classmates and didn't mind to be alone. Because of all these reasons Gakushuu became kind of fascinated with Sofia, as she didn't let herself be manipulated by him or his father, and always thought on her own instead of blindly following others.

At some point Gakushuu even told Sofia that she can be more confident in herself and doesn't need to hide herself that much - before smirking and leaving to let her think about his words. This greatly surprised Sofia and made her feel appreciated and respected by him.
After Sofia grew a spine and confronted Gakushuu about his fathers extreme authorative- and manipulative education methods, she told him her opinion and what her view on these things were. The boy got inspired by Sofias mindset which also helped him to differ his views even more from the ones of his father. Meanwhile Sofia realized that Gakushuu has morals too and was happy after finding out that he stood up against Gakuho.

At the same time Gakushuu kind of wished to protect Sofia, not wanting his father or any other people to destroy the girl's views and goals to help others geniunely. This was shown when he defended Sofia after his father wanted to brainwash her or when a girl from class 3-A tried to approach her with bad intentions.

It can be said that Sofia developed a crush on Gakushuu without realizing it at first. After coming to the conclusion that she likes him more than expected, she comically says that she feels mocked by her feelings - because on one hand she used to be scared of him, but on the other hand she admires him and wishes to support him as much as possible. When Gakushuu got injured by his father Sofia displayed lots of concern for the student council president while the boy tried to not make her worry and to keep herself safe instead.
Due to Gakushuus issues with his father and goal to dominate the school, he didn't have that much time to figure his feelings for Sofia out at first. It took him a bit longer to understand what he felt for her and before they actually start dating. Both of them help each other in different aspects and extend each other's views on education and society.
