Deatus is one of the five archangels and protects the angels. He wields a shepherd's staff and received the gift of the stars. He likes to fool around with his cherubs, but is otherwise a reasonable and observant person and acts as the leader of the archangels.
He is always polite and collected. Unless he starts talking about his angels, then there's no stopping him. He's particularly proud of his angels and will start talking about how great each and every one of them is if he's not stopped first. Because of his position, he always keeps an eye on his proteges and looks after the well-being of everyone in the Engelreich. Anyone looking for advice or not knowing what to do is sent to him.

Created by Mothoe 800 years ago and has been loyal to him ever since. When Euphi came along a hundred years later, it was his job to guide her. They became good friends, Euphi often came to him when something was on her mind.
After Euphi betrayed Mothoe, Deatus tried several times to prevent her from carrying out her plan.

Formerly her closest friend. Deatus still believes in the good in her. Whether anything is left of it at all is another question.
