About

evets-base.png

Meet Mister Nevets Gnivri! To those who know him, it's Evets. To his close friends, Ev. To his best friend, Nev.

Evets is a nervous monster from Twisted Terror, just trying to get by. He ran away from home to escape the abusive king he worked for, and to escape an entire kingdom who hated him. He understands their point of view; he hates himself too. Evets's evident lack of self-esteem seems to leak into everything he does, but he appreciates the help and love of his friends to correct his own views on himself. Despite his general lack of confidence, there's one thing Evets finds pride in. Evets is a super genius, always building things to benefit those around him. His biggest project, however, is to build a robot daughter.

Despite being from Twisted Terror, Evets seems to harbor a hate for the ruler. Shouldn't the servant to the king be loyal until the day he dies?

"Oh god they think I'm weird- I am weird who am I kidding, everyone thinks I'm weird, Mister Graves thinks I'm weird, Chrys thinks I'm weird she's pity dating me, I can't believe she's going to dump me oh no no no no I'm so weird I have to stop being weird how do I-"

Evets is jumpy, nervous, and always looking both ways before taking a step. If Evets is rubbing the tops of his ears, he's more nervous than usual! He's just trying to calm down. He's awkward when talking to new people (especially to pretty girls he falls in love with too fast!), but give him time- he has a lot of ideas to share. Evets's incredibly impressive intelligence can fly over the heads of others, but he tries to check himself when talking about his projects so others can follow.

Evets is prone to envy, and will grow envious quickly of others, even learning to despise them. On the other end, he is very protective and blindly respectful of the people he loves, putting them on pedestals and fighting blindly in their name. Despite this, Evets means well and wants nothing but happiness for his loved ones.

Evets loves to dance! And sci-fi! His favorite movie is about androids! He's grown to like flowers. But he hates most human food, unfortunately, and he really, really hates bugs!!

The World's Genius is Born!

Evets was born as the first son to his mother and father. He was a super clumsy child, but with the help of his parents, and an older woman he knew as his sister, he stumbled into… less things than before. Three years later, Evets’s brother Tsereve was born, and the two bothers got along well. Mister and Missus Gnivri were sure to provide a happy childhood for their sons.

Even from birth, Evets’s purpose in life was made clear. Marked with the royal insignia, Evets was to serve the rulers of his homeland, Twisted Terror. He started very young, learning how to serve others and be reliable for those who needed him. The king and queen quickly took a liking to him, and Evets, although shy, got along extremely well with the younger twin prince and princess of Twisted Terror. Evets picked up quick on his duties and showed promise as the future servant of Twisted Terror’s rulers.

When Evets had free time, he tinkered with machinery and started creating new inventions, even at a young age. His IQ was found to be unnaturally high, and Evets’s gifted intelligence became his most prominent quality. Although many of his inventions made in his younger years had little to no promise, they became stepping stones for his bigger projects. His intelligence didn’t score him popularity points at school- the prince and princess were privately taught and could not help him in that department- but Evets found that a boy named Ykcir genuinely enjoyed his ramblings and overall personality. The two were fast friends, and together they endured their early school years. Juggling his royal duties, schooling, and hobbies, Evets managed a busy, yet happy childhood.

Sir? The King is Thirteen. Who Is He, Tutankhamun?

Everything seemed to be going well, until Evets was fifteen years old. Fear sprung across Twisted Terror when it was discovered that the king and queen were assassinated in the middle of the night, and the prince and princess had gone missing. Pure anarchy gripped the kingdom, and with Evets as the named servant to the royal family, he was to find a new ruler before the kingdom collapsed in on itself. With the weight of his dying homeland on his shoulders, Evets knew he had to get to work, and fast.

With the help of Ykcir, Evets underwent vigorous amounts of research, conducting experiments and proposing hypotheses as to who the new destined leader of their kingdom should be. After all, positions of royalty were always kept within the family, but Evets had to find a replacement with no family to go off of. His work isolated him from his family, as he moved into the castle to be closer to his lab. Finally, after a year, Evets’s research paid off: the conclusion he came to, to put it simply, is that the new leader of Twisted Terror must be someone born on the wrong side of the world- that is, someone from the human world. With this conclusion reached, there was a new obstacle: how would they get to the human world?

Undergoing more experiments and research, Evets developed a concoction that, when used, allows someone to tear into different worlds and dimensions. Evets, despite Ykcir’s grievances, ingested the serum and gained the ability to enter the human world. He and Ykcir took a trip to Earth to find the new leader of their crumbling home. With a general idea of who to look for, Evets sought out his target: a thirteen year old boy named Raymond Flynn. This boy had no Twisted Terror counterpart, meaning he must have been born on the wrong side of the world. Their world would finally be restored; Evets and Ykcir just had to get Ray to Twisted Terror. With little options to choose from, Evets and Ykcir chose to kidnap Ray and flee back to their homeland.

Ray was scared, understandably- Evets knew this would be the case and explained the situation to the boy. Having recently undergone some trauma, Ray was receptive to the idea, and Evets announced to the kingdom that there would be a new king. However, Ray had to be trained, and Evets was more than eager to undertake the task. After all, it is his life’s purpose to serve the ruler of Twisted Terror; he and this boy, Ray, would ultimately bound for a lifetime!

It Takes One To Doom A Kingdom

Evets became a mentor and teacher to Ray, teaching him royal etiquette, duties, and tasks that came with being royalty. Ray seemed eager to learn, and soon became well acquainted with his new duty in life. Evets was proud- he had raised a king!- and never minded how clingy Ray was to him. He was always by Ray’s side, overseeing decisions until Ray began to rule on his own. The servant’s plan had worked- he was a hero, albeit a quietly celebrated one.

The praise and title of hero didn’t last long, however; in the years that followed, Ray became a vile, vicious, and abusive leader, seemingly hungry with power. Evets wasn’t sure how to reel him back; the more Evets resisted, the more Ray exerted his power. His displays of power turned into abuse fairly quick. It started as physical and emotional abuse, but quickly spilled into sexual abuse as well. Evets’s life purpose of serving the king of Twisted Terror started to seem more like a condemnation. At this rate, he’d be trapped with Ray for the rest of their lives.

The abuse quickly bore down on Evets, who was already prone to depression. With no end to the abuse in sight, he tried to keep his head up as he fulfilled his job. Citizens that once praised Evets for finding a king began to chide and mock him for putting an immature and cruel man in charge of their kingdom. All anger and frustration the citizens felt towards Ray were doubled when it came to Evets. Even his family, especially his brother, began to treat him with less respect. To know an entire kingdom hated him for a decision he spent a year laboring over… Well, Evets had a hard time dealing with the global opinion.

It became obvious to Evets that in order to survive in his own homeland, he’d have to lay low, or at least as low as being the king’s servant can be. He practically disappeared; Evets became a name that was heard but never seen. It only worsened Evets’s loneliness and depression, but one person was able to provide him with some companionship. Someone was able to look past Evets’s mistakes and got to know the kind of person he was. That someone was named Naj.

The Rise and Fall of an Angel

Naj and Evets got along extremely well- while Evets was more soft spoken and shy, Naj was more vocal about situations and what the two of them wanted. He found he was able to lean on her for support, and he loved her. Best of all, she loved him back! They moved in together; it was a difficult situation, as Evets spent a bulk of his time at the castle with Ray, but Naj dealt with the separation, and surprisingly didn’t mind it too much. Evets spent more and more time with her, noticeably making Ray angry, but he couldn’t care less. He married Naj, the love of his life, and not long after, they had a daughter named Arddie.

Arddie was the pride and joy of Evets’s life. His inventions started to revolve around her; everything he made was for her and to make her life easier. His work exuded love for Arddie. Naj noticed and appreciated this, for the most part. Ray, on the other hand, did not. Evets was scolded and berated for giving his daughter more attention than to his boss, but he couldn’t care less. His daughter and wife were the only things that mattered to him.

Good things never seemed to last when it came to Evets, however. Left alone with a four year old Arddie one day, Evets was called in by Ray for an emergency. A good father would never leave his daughter home alone, especially being so young, so Evets took her along with him to the castle. He tried his hardest to keep his attention on the emergency and a very curious Arddie at the same time, but he fell short; while Evets was distracted, Arddie wandered off and fell off one of the castle’s balconies to her death.

Evets was hysterical and devastated. He became violent and eventually had to be calmed down by Ykcir and other members of the security team. When the anger and rage subsided, the reality of the situation settled in, and Evets became catatonic. He was brought home and Ykcir unfortunately explained what had happened to Naj, who was destroyed by the news. She adamantly blamed Evets for not watching Arddie closer, for not being more responsible, and for being a terrible father to her passed daughter. She screamed and berated an unresponsive Evets for days before she packed up and left, leaving him alone.

Ykcir stopped by every day to check on Evets, but he never responded beyond a word of acknowledgement. The shell of Evets’s being did everything for him as his mind completely shut down. Life became a bother to Evets, and Ray’s abuse only made it worse. The king was relentless when it came to Evets, as if he found pleasure in making his servant miserable. Evets would come home from a day of abuse to face being alone, aside from the times Ykcir visited. It became a chore to get up and live through the same torture he lived through yesterday. Ykcir had gotten Evets a dog to help him cope, but even caring for Vrah took too much energy. Evets began to make attempts on his own life, only to either be stopped by Ykcir or not be able to go through with it. Though, Evets saw it as a need to try harder. He alone had created the hell he was living in, and he was going to get himself out of it.

Prison Break!

At least, that was the plan. As Evets began to climb out of his catatonic state, but still drowning in depression, Ykcir formed a plan for Evets to escape from Twisted Terror and live in the human world, something unheard of to monsters. Ykcir helped him pack the mere essentials, promising to take care of Vrah while he was gone or until he could come back, and Evets crossed to the human world. Evets may have been a super genius, but he’s never lived among humans before! He cautiously traveled from the corn field he found himself in to an old abandoned building, only to find someone living there- and amazingly, it was someone he was familiar with!

In the abandoned prison was a monster from Twisted Terror named Vee, whom Evets remembered as the traitor who was exiled by Ray for high treason. Vee welcomed the runaway servant into her prison home, and the two found they had one goal in common: to exact revenge on the king of Twisted Terror. The two brilliant minds got down to work.

Now staying somewhere that Evets was sure Ray would never look, he spent his days with Vee, plotting Ray’s demise. He didn’t have to worry about acclimating to human life, as Vee was so isolated from the rest of the world that there were no humans to interact with. The longer Evets spent with Vee, and the more he worked with her, the deeper he began to fall in love with her. It was so easy, as it always was! She was so smart, and proactive, and they had the same passions when it came to revenge! It seemed like the perfect match! Until, of course, he confessed how he felt and realized she didn’t feel the same in even the slightest of ways.

With the awkward tension growing between the two, Vee felt as if it was best for Evets to live somewhere else. The human world, however, was absolutely frightening, and Evets had to try his best and blend in with humans. It didn’t go as planned- with no money, no concept of direction, and nowhere to go, the lost monster wandered around town, scaring everyone he met, until he bumped into a friendly Australian man.

Mm, Smells Like Cookies!

The man introduced himself as Nero, and after making small talk, Evets explained his situation, and his anxieties on what to do next. Taking pity on him, Nero offered for Evets to move into his house. At first, Evets refused- he could never impose like that!- but the more Nero insisted, the more willing Evets was to take the offer. Evets moved into Nero’s basement, free to make the space his. Starting from scratch, Evets recreated a big portion of his lab in his new home. Free from Ray’s suffocating hold, Evets could finally dedicate himself to his most important project: creating a robot child to love and call his own.

While at Nero’s, working away when he could, Evets realized he had to at least attempt to understand human culture. It was difficult- everything he expected to be true about humans was false, and what he thought would be ridiculous really wasn’t. He stumbled his way through a very strange world, and on the way, he met Nero’s next door neighbor, Chrys.

Evets was sure he had never seen someone as beautiful as Chrys was. Getting to know her was difficult- after all, she was a human, and human customs were still difficult for Evets to understand! Nonetheless, no matter how Evets floundered or messed up a few things, Chrys seemed extremely receptive of his actions, and they were fast friends, and eventually began to date.

Evets lives in Nero’s basement, working away at his new life’s work most of the day, and hanging out with his very few friends the rest of the day. He is happily dating Chrys and although his depression and anxiety still hinder him, he’s on the path of healing, and is in a better place than he was years before. He still lives in fear and anticipation for the day he and Ray reunite.

Relationships

Ray

10824210_agR.png

The King [⚠️ Abuse]

Evets's entire purpose in life is to serve the rulers of Twisted Terror. That applies even when the king is one of the most disgusting people on the planet. Evets has been physically, mentally, and sexually abused by Ray and is ultimately petrified at the thought of him. So much hatred for Ray burns in Evets's heart- so much, that one could find the plans to the king's demise in Evets's lab.

Ykcir

1700647?1574400006

Best Friend

Friends since childhood, Evets and Ykcir are close to inseperable when they are together. Although it's near impossible for Evets to unwind completely, Ykcir manages to get Evets relaxed when he's around. Evets also manages to turn into an immature goofball around his best friend. He'd do anything for Ykcir, and vice versa.

Chrys

1458502?1531197240

Girlfriend

Sweet and beautiful Chrys! Falling for Chrys was the easy part- it was trying to go next door and talk to her that posed as the real challenge. Although it took a lot of encouragement, Evets worked up the guts to talk to Mister Graves's beautiful neighbor. Evets's self esteem might not be the best, but none of those things serve to be as big of problems when Chrys is around. As strange as Evets thinks it is, a human loves him, and he loves her back.

Antonio

1541329?

Friend

A good friend! Antonio is loud and outgoing- the complete opposite of Evets, but perhaps that's why they get along so well. Antonio is kind and understanding, always taking his time with Evets, which is something he appreciates greatly. Evets considers Antonio one of his closest friends, and the two tend to bond over pretty girls a lot.

Nessie

tumblr-o7nq7dh3-WS1sxjkvxo2-1280.jpg

Friend

Another good friend! Nessie is like Antonio in a few departments; she's loud and always in your face. Nonetheless, Evets finds himself drawn to and caring deeply for this mermaid. She's always around to pick Evets up when he's down, and she helps him see the positives in dark situations. Plus, Evets finds her laugh extremely cute.

Mister Graves

1509127?1540490106

Saint in Disguise (Friend!)

Nero's arms were wide open for Evets when he needed a place to stay. Letting Evets reinvent his basement into a lab, Nero was more than happy to let him move in. Evets knows he'll be eternally grateful for every nice thing Mister Graves has ever done for him, and there's no way he could ever pay it back. Nero thinks this is fine- as long as Evets listens to the stories he has to offer, he considers them even.

Miss Hope

1512598?1541996456

Friend

When Evets came to live with Nero, he didn't expect to be making any friends. Rather, he planned on keeping to himself. That changed when he met Hope. She was younger, but Evets found they hurt in similar ways in terms of their mental health. While Evets explained his work to Hope, she explained the stars and astronomy to him. They built off each other, and Evets found Hope to be pleasant, intelligent, and overall a very sweet young woman. He finds that Hope works to heal him, and hopes she feels the same way about him. He tends to look at her as if she was his daughter.

Vee

1466457?

"Ex-Girlfriend"

Evets knows he falls in love quite too fast, and Vee was a perfect example. After running away from Twisted Terror and needing somewhere to hide, Evets stayed with Vee. The two bonded over their hatred of Ray, and Evets fell in love with the cunning and genius that was Vee. Those feelings were one sided, however, and when Vee rejected Evets, he was forced to face the reality that he is, indeed, still a loser. He still respects her despite her breaking his heart.
