A young, Force-sensitive Mandalorian, Zai is the second born of Grace and Otuck Darkstalker. His older sister, Carami, was taken by the Jedi for training in the Temple when Zai was too young to be taken, and before he could join her, he was taken by Count Dooku and trained in secret as an assassin. While not a true Sith apprentice, Zai was steeped in the Dark Side, though he himself began to edge close to cutting himself from the Force rather than using the Dark Side. At around 14 years of age, he was rescued by his sister, by then a Jedi Master and General of the 273rd clone legion. Unfortunately, the Jedi Council refused to grant Zai the rank of Padawan, but Cara wouldn't take no for an answer, and Zai's presence was tolerated, with Cara even making him Captain under her. Zai's life was unfortunately cut short when Order 66 occurred.
