Profile

Name: Longjing (龙井-a Chinese green tea leaf)

 Age: 27

 Gender: Cis Male

 Sexuality: Bisexual

 Occupation: Tea fairy

Personality: Longjing is a gentle spirit. He isn't one to be rushed and likes to take time for the smaller joys in life. He's always happy to talk, but sitting in silence and enjoying other people's company is also perfectly fine.

Bio: How Longjing came to be is unclear, but he was found one day sitting outside a Chinese tea shop. Kind of. The old lady who opened the door didn't actually notice him until he followed her into the shop when she opened it. He floated up to the counter and settled down next to a jar of tea leaves. The lady was a little surprised, but let him stick around because he seemed so peaceful just sitting there.

Throughout the day she would make small conversation with him and was very happy when he always responded; not many people visited this small tea shop, so it was nice to have someone to talk to. It was mostly about what types of tea she sold, but that was okay because she enjoyed her job.

When she locked up, Longjing stuck around. The old lady was shocked to find him in almost the exact same place the next morning. This repeated for a number of days and each day she would tell a little more about herself. Sometimes when a customer dropped by, he would help her make recommendations to them about which ones they might enjoy.

Eventually, the lady figured that she should stop just calling him little fairy. She remembered back to the day they met. He had settled down next to a jar of Longjing leaves, and so his name came to be.

Longjing has moved out of the tea shop as his primary home in order to explore the world and find more tea, but he still finds himself drawn back to China and the little tea shop the old lady keeps quite a lot. He's never out for too extended a period.

 Strange facts about them:

He's considers himself very flirty, but it can be kind of hard to tell because his way of flirting is just a slightly exaggerated version of him being nice with some more poetic language weaved in.

Speaking of poetic, Longjing likes to try and imitate the poetic style of the Tang dynasty, but sometimes his poetry gets a little too out there for the stricter rules of the style.

He actually did not have a particular preference for Longjing tea until he met the old lady and she named him such. He's just a sentimental little spirit and this moment really stuck with him.

Some people find Longjing gets almost annoyingly sentimental late at night. He'll look out at the moon and talk about missing how the snow sparkled on the ground back at home (though it's unclear whether he actually knows where exactly home is)

Surprisingly, he does not like strong tea. He thinks some of the subtleties of the flavor get covered up and ruins it.

Something they'd say: "Take some time to relax. Slow down. Enjoy your time here on Earth. I'd be happy to help you."
