Shanna is sort of a Warrior of Light? Her path differs... somehow.
She has two true passions: arcanima, and a new field of her own devising she termed "sound science." In passing, she learned about how Bard magic functioned, particularly its ability to be influenced by memories and emotions. She plunged into research that attempted to make this "song magic" more consistent and codified in its outputs with the goal of extending its scope and power. It's all very theoretical at this stage, but the bones are there.
At some point she began to hear "sounds" of unknown origin, which is part of what caused her to dive into song magic research. She attributes them to the emotions and aether of people around her. It's probably part of her specific Echo powers (think of it as like a X sensation -> sound sort of synesthesia).
