Yasuo (康夫) is a patroller of a fishing village. Despite his name ("man of peace") he's... actually always worked up about something, usually chasing off loitering kids or shooing away anyone he deems unwelcome. He's otherwise quite a nice guy to a fault, and takes his job seriously. When not working, he can be found in the village's tavern drinking and telling stories of the people he's met before in his life... whether they're true or not that's up to debate, but at least it keeps the fishermen entertained.

Yasuo is a fishfolk descendant, i.e. a breed of man whom once roamed the seas, said to be closely related to the legendary and mythical merfolk. He can breathe underweater, and though strong enough to man boats, he doesn't particularly like swimming.

Trivia:

• Has a short temper, but can usually be bribed with calamari
• Flirts with married women in his spare time
• Has a fishbone whip he carries around. He says it's a legendary weapon  acquired from his grandfathers, but the story always changes
• Has a tendency to make grand stories about himself. Nobody really knows what's the truth, but they're otherwise harmless and keeps villagers entertained
• Apparently saw a real mermaid once
