species' body temperature is molten, scabs and wounds dry to a rocky substance. other dragons react to them as if they were disgusting. Koraka intentionally self harms and leaves them all over his body for years to create increasingly strong armor. to his own species he looks incredibly disfigured.
Koraka has a strange relationship with his patron deity, a God of rage and bloodshed. Koraka despises him, his principles, and his enjoyment of violence against the innocent. However, the God finds him endearing and blesses him with additional kinetic/wind magic power, finding our dragon hero endearing, happy to pound his throne and down buckets of popcorn watching the righteous fury and carnage. He gleefully embraces Koraka's desire to grow strong enough to kill the god himsself, Both patiently awaiting the day that champion and god meet in the flesh for a final mortal battle.
