Drydera

Drydera is a Divine who wanted nothing more than to be a Deity as part of the Council of Creation, training very hard to do so. She was friends with Drakken and Faethro. She is cunning and knowledgable, although she has concerning opinions about how the rest of the Planar system should be treated. When her friend Drakken, an Angel from the Aether plane and thus a '''lower class''', was accepted before her, she became distant and bitter. Exactly how her descent into megalomania happened is still being worked out. However, at her peak she had co-erced Drakken into creating the Golden Beast, and when he refused to release it on the Material plane, she released it and framed Drake, getting him removed from the Council of Creation and banished to the Abyss. For her actions in "catching him in the act", Drydera was finally granted a spot as a Deity. She used this chance to quietly create the Arachne, a new group of people who's role is to find stronger and better ways to channel Material magic for Drydera's use, and then went into hiding on the Material plane. While in hiding, she couldn't re-enter the Divine or Aether planes and thus was isolated from strong sources of Divine magic, and was stuck in her "elven" semi-material form. Taking advantage of the Material plane now being aware of the Divines, and eing able to easily prove herself as a Divine, she manipulated many communions of devotees into believing she was their subject of worship, such as impersonating the deceased Divine Soraeve. She would then slowly select for magically acute mortals to become Liches to help her with a future plot to re-release the Golden Beast, this time in an attempt to take over the Material Plane. When the time comes, she employs her circle of Liches (including Pietre) to revive the Golden Beast, while she goes to break Drakken out of the abyss, who's rage powers the beast. Drakken also goes on to take revenge on the Divine plane for being wronged, not knowing Drydera framed him or ratted him out. Everything gets sorted out by Nevermore and Faethro and stuff and she doesn't win this battle, but she does more stuff at some point.
