Pipistrellekit is one smart cookie! Although she’s still far too little to expand her knowledge beyond the safety of the nursery, it will soon become clear that this girl is a quick learner. She’s always listening. On the outside it may seem that Pipistrelle is a lazy kit, but behind those big ol’ eyes you can guarantee she’s quietly absorbing new information until the pieces of the puzzle all come together in her head.

Thoughts are meant to be expressed!! Otherwise, how would Pipistrellekit get her amazing ideas out into the world? Pipistrelle really doesn’t keep it to herself when she needs something (feeding time doesn’t get to be even a minute late with this kit in the nursery) and is inherently very honest with how she feels. She’s confident to express herself, getting more adept at it as her vocabulary grows.

Pipistrelle is a happy kit! She’s friendly with her littermates and LOVES cuddles with her parents. Outside of her immediate family though, only the other residents of the Caveclan nursery will be aware of this kitten’s chirpy, friendly side because of how wary Pipistrelle is around literally everybody else.

> Territoral
Having her own space is very important to Pipistrellekit and the Caveclan nursery is the only space she’s ever known. She knows the layout, she knows the cats who take care of herself and her littermates, and - most importantly - she knows she’s safe there. As far as she’s concerned this is HER space, and should a stranger dare to enter her domain she’ll quickly grow restless, crying and wailing until she scares the intruder away, or if one of her trusted adults takes the time to reassure her that the safety of the nursery hasn’t been compromised just because they have a visitor right now.

She has a lot of big emotions to fit into one tiny body; as a result, Pipistrellekit is very easy to make cry. It’s not always easy to tell whether they’re tears of sadness, or tears of joy.

Being around her family makes Pipistrellekit feel safe and comfy. But, meeting strangers? That’s something she doesn’t yet know how to handle. She’s very timid around cats that she doesn’t know well, choosing to hide among her parents' fur (or hiding in her own fur if no parents are available) instead of looking someone in the eye when introducing herself.

Pipistrellekit sometimes appreciates having some space to herself; she’ll grumble about physical affection unless she’s initiated it herself, and she very much enjoys having the space to stretch-out when her littermates are temporarily away from the nest. On the other side of the coin, Pipistrellekit has yet to accept that she sometimes needs to afford this luxury of personal space to others. When she’s feeling clingy, Pipistrelle will locate her favourite people and stick with them as if her life depends on it, audibly complaining if they attempt to leave the nursery or otherwise get some space from this clingy child. The feeling of safety that comes with having a family member physically nearby is very important to her, and she doesn’t always understand that cats cannot dedicate 100% of their time to cuddling or feeding her.

Pipistrellekit has an aversion to physical activity and is overall a little lazy, expressing that she’d rather extend her nap than join her littermates to participate in a physically-taxing game. The nest she shares with her family is comfortable, and perhaps she’s just not feeling ready to face the big wide world yet.

She’s the true drama-queen of the nursery. Pipistrellekit is a very emotional kid and has a tendency for the dramatics when her feelings get too big for her to know how to express properly. This can get a little stressful for her parents if they hear her screaming bloody-murder, only to realise Pipistrelle has done nothing more than mildly stub her toe. Perhaps these over-the-top reactions are something she’ll grow out of? Someone might have to talk to her about it first.
