Hiroki is half Japanese and half Native American (West Mono)- his mother being Japanese and his father being Native American, from California in the United States. They met through business, as they both worked in construction, and soon both settled in Japan. Hiroki grew up working with them, especially once his quirk manifested. He grew tall with his mother working (more so helping) with construction in some buildings, and it made him happy, but he also looked up to his aunt, Mt. Lady. His mother was her older sister, so Hiroki knew her very well. He thought hero work seemed exciting and noble, the thought of protecting other people with his power made him happy.

So he set off to become a hero, aiming high and applying for the hero class at UA. He did very well on the written test, and absolutely aced the practical test- earning the top amount of 'hero points' for growing to his full height and fighting the zero point monster, aiming to protect the rest of his future classmates. Subsequently, he was admitted to the school, and found himself in class very soon, where he met someone who would make an impact on his life: a blue-haired girl with mechanical wings, admitted through recommendations as she was from a prestigious family... his future partner in hero work, as well as the love of his life.

Quirk: "Sequoia"

Hiroki's quirk is a combination of both of his parents'. From his mother's side, he possesses the ability to grow VERY tall (his maximum is 80 feet tall, but he can also grow to a height of anywhere between his normal 6'4 and 80'!). From his father's side, he has the ability to manipulate and grow/create plant matter! He specializes in trees and larger plants, but he is still very able to grow small flowers, bushes, and other sorts of things. He is also able to augment existing plant matter (in the sense of manipulating it) to grow it or control it any way he wishes!

Unfortunately, if he uses both aspects of his quirk simultaneously, it tires him out EXCESSIVELY. He usually sticks to just one or the other and stays okay that way, but he can still be tired out by using just one aspect. If he stays in his giant form for 30 minutes or more, he can experience negative symptoms like nausea (light to heavy, depending on exertion), light to heavy fatigue, and light to heavy migraines. Severity of symptoms depends on the amount of exertion being experienced.

Trivia

• Hiroki's mother is Mt. Lady's older sister, so that makes Mt. Lady his aunt!
• Hiroki has family on his dad's side in the United States, and visits every year.
• Both of Hiroki's parents work in construction, and he helps out with the business when he's not in school.
• Hiroki keeps his hair long as a tribute to his ancestry, who were all forced to cut their hair short.
