Profile

Current adventuring party. The only one missing is Nissa, the elderly gnome wizard, and her fae familiar, a tiny owl named Hootie. There's also PJ, Nissa's mastiff mount, and the party's elephant, Bismark, who is lazy as fuck and entirely the paladin's idea. Speaking of paladin, his cards are no longer accurate: no one remembers the names Vendrick or Louie and no one ever will. He gave up his name to a desert hag. Any attempts to speak his name or give him a nickname result in...nothing. There's just no sound. The party, at least, is still aware that the paladin had a name once and has since lost it, but the NPCs around them only ever remember knowing him as "the paladin in blue." Blight has been keeping a logbook for some time now and all mentions of either of the paladin's old names have vanished, leaving only a blank space where they used to be. Because of a previous encounter w/ a dragon who referred to the paladin as "Lou of the Blue," the party knows that some shortened version of his name rhymes with "blue," they just don't know what it was. In his logbook, Blight has replaced this phrase with "You of the Blue." The paladin has zero problems with losing his name and honestly kind of prefers it. Malari's player has left the group and the character was an NPC for a time. After our encounter with the desert hag, he was gone. Well...he went back to "sleep," more like. Originally, Blight found him deep in an undiscovered ruin where half the party was trapped at the time. But when I picked him up, he was only a rune stone, a magic item that could restore one of my spent spell slots. The first time I met Malari was in a dream. It was some cleric bullshit, though, so it was more than just a dream. Loviatar was fucking w/ me and making imitations of my party members attack me. Just when I was about to go down, the rune stone floated out of my pocket and pulled rocks from the earth around us to form a body around it--Malari. He saved me in that dream and, shortly after I woke up, he formed himself out in the real world as well. The prince we had to save was in a deep, magical sleep, one we had to infiltrate w/ our dreamselves to save him from. So, for Blight at least, it seemed rather fitting that when we woke up from that, Malari was just a rune stone again. He first came to us in a dream, because one of us needed help. He left us the same way.
