history
Shirai started her life as a slave, living within the walls of Narakib. Her mother was a slave as well. Her father is assumed to be a wealthy aristocrat that wars over ownership of the large capital.
Once Shirai had escaped within Narakib by befriending a knight, she started towards thievery, stealing gold, clothing, weapons, whatever she could get her hands on and sell. After a few years of this life, she decided to change her ways and become an adventurer who only occasionally steals. She travels through the world, visiting many towns and cities. She eventually took a liking to masks as they did not reveal her identity or gender.
Shirai obtained a golden mask, that had the soul of a powerful quori who seeks to aid her in her battles. This is when she realized that she should be seeking other items with quori attached to them, but favors masks over any other item.
Shirai Is traveling when she meets Akai Sato, she asks him to accompany her on her travels and offers gold in exchange for his strength and heavy carrying ability, making it an ease to carry many items at once. They make Kane's Sought with two others: Fane and Canico
