Cabbage lives in a Lintling colony built into a sewing shop. In the initial stages of the colony, they get in loads of trouble, but in time they come to an understanding where the lintlings leave the majority of the shop alone in exchange for the shop's scraps of discarded fabric and shop refuse, i.e. broken buttons, glitter from the floor sweepings, discarded bits of thread, etc. The shop teaches children to sew, so there are plenty of useable scraps that get discarded as the kids cut fabric poorly or use too much thread for their projects.
