Fù Lì (傅靂)

First debuted as an antagonist in a personal rp project with my friend, then switched side and helping out the main characters in the final battle of our rpg campaign from another universe, though with minimal appearance.

Born into a frugal family of four, with a little brother 6 years younger than him. Fu Li starts working at age 10 as an apprentice in an artisan school founded by true cultivators. The mother sect which sponsor the school organize an admission test for cultivating program, though Fu Li failed the spiritual roots examination, he still got a slot for visiting the HQ, and ceded it for his brother whom idolize the cultivating world so much.

Fu Li got transfer into the escort department when he was 15, after his brother accidentally got qualified for cultivating on the trip. The young boy worked diligently until he was 18, but on a mission escorting carts full of explosive, his team got ambushed by bandits and got wiped out.

Pieces of his corpse was brought back to his family with some compensate fee, while the rest mixed with other cadaver get a burial in the sect's mass grave. Few years later, the remains of that escort team was dug up by a rogue cultivator and frankensteined into some kind of flesh pile of a creature. They were dead, yet alive at the same time and was forced into doing dirty deeds for said cultivator while feeling the same pain that they felt during their final moment. Fu Li beg for his family, brother or anybody to come and end his misery, but no one ever did, and the torment broke his mind eventually.

Fu Li got stronger and managed to kill the rogue cultivator who enslaved him. He ran back to his old house but everyone has already passed away since he was gone for 90+ years. Snooping around, Fu Li learnt that his little brother- Fu Xiong, apparently was a piece of shit for leaving their father behind in poverty while he's living the lavish cultivator life. Li believed the only reason Xiong can get to where he is right now is because he stole the chance from his brother, and if Xiong ever cared about him, he will realize that the grave had been robbed and come to Fu Li's rescue. And just like that, the yearning for his little brother from all those year before transformed into hatred and resentment. Fu Li took the appearance of his younger brother to commit horrendous crimes and guilt tripping Xiong into admitting Xiong himself was the culprit...
