Rina is an incredibly timid girl, with a lack of confidence and self-esteem to back it up. She's introverted to the max, avoiding other people and social situations as much as possible. These things clash with her natural instinct to be quite maternal and caring, however. She genuinely enjoys taking care of people, and finds solace in cooking or cleaning. She knows deep down she craves more, however, as during these times she finds herself daydreaming about scenarios in which she's part of a crowd, of something lifechanging. Her timid ways also stop her from taking what she considers risky steps, and needs somebody to gently goad her in the right direction. Otherwise, she'll just wait for somebody else to lead the way for her. Deep down, she just really wants to feel needed or wanted.

• Alicia Lancaster, friend: Alicia may be years younger than Rina, but the two became instantly close friends after a short time. Alicia's more extroverted personality led Rina around on adventures that were still safe, but brought her out of her shell. Alicia also being a kid genius is often closer to Rina's level and makes for stimulating conversations. Rina enjoys her time with Alicia, and finds her a cross between a very good, close friend and a little sister. As silly as it may be, Rina will run to Alicia for comfort when she's embarrassed or needs somebody to hear her out.
  
• Damien Miller, friend: A boy who sees that Rina needs a helping hand out of her shell and goes out of his way to include her. Rina takes notice of it from the get-go, but attributes it to his outgoing and kind nature, rather than realizing he's got a bit of a crush on her. Without realizing it, he'll playfully flirt with her and to his dismay, she'll flirt back. It's really fun on her end, and somehow, it doesn't embarrass or make her uncomfortable in the least.
