Story:
Ouren's an ayakashi (妖) that's wandering in the Heiankyo.
He often wears a Chinese style robe, and wandering around in the cities of the Heiankyo. His attire resembles an emperor , as he 's currently the strongest in all the Ayakashi . and's titled as the king of the Ayakashis .
Before Ouren became the king of Ayakashis, he served a lot of Ayakashis who were kings. As a result, he knows how strong are they, and he secretly trained himself in a forest to surpass them. But there's one time, when he is training in the forest, as usual, a mysterious person came near him. The mysterious person's actually someone who works for the god. He puts a spell on Ouren from far away. As a result, Ouren's power got sealed the moment he uses his skills. The power he had will be forever locked until he meets someone who is worthy to unlock the seal.
Ouren , who lost almost all his power, also almost all his memories, stayed in the forest, trying to get back his power, but it's useless. He feels depressed , and he thinks about why the gods want to seal his power even though he didn't even do anything bad to them .
He wanders in the forest non stop , and ....
he saw a shadow in the forest .
When he's going to check out the shadow he seen , he was ambushed by some other ayakashis . Normally he can beat them in an instant , but as he lost his power, he just can't avoid it, and he passed out, in the woods.
The moment when he woke up, Ouren saw himself in a dorm. A pretty guy 's what he sees first. The guy told Ouren what had happened in the forest, and later, the pretty guy introduces himself. His name's Mutsuki Kishin, an onmyoji, even though his attire doesn't seem like one. Ouren felt something similar while looking at Kishin's face.
" He has a familiar face .... "
That's what he thought. He then asked Kishin to make a contract with him, Kishin was shocked to hear that by the start, but he agreed to do so, as he thinks that he will be a great help for him in the future.
So, Ouren decided to stay with the young onmyoji, Kishin as a Shikigami. He knows that there's something special about Kishin while seeing his face. As Ouren continues to regain his powers, he realized that his memories which was all lost, are slightly coming back to him too. He realized that Kishin's actually the reincarnation of Amaterasu , someone that Ouren cherishes , and Ouren's best friend. That gave Ouren the will to protect Kishin more than before . After a while being with Kishin, Ouren feels conflicted about his own feelings. He feels weird to know that he is in love with his own master so he hides his real feelings to himself . And he said his real feelings out in accident while he had an argument with Kishin . That time , Kishin's pretty shocked to hear the words coming out from Ouren . Kishin smiled , accepting Ouren's real feelings and told him his real feelings towards Ouren .
Personality and etc :
For the ayakashis in Heiankyo , Ouren's depicted as a pretty mysterious guy who smiles no matter what and how does he feel . Yet while he's actually mad , his smile's extremely scary . He shows up his "annoying" side while with the other members in the dorm . He's a really "annoying" guy for Kitsugawa as the both of them argue almost every time about whose master 's stronger and other weird stuff . He's really protective when it comes to friends and precious people . He's depicting as a smiley guy for other normal ayakashis , but the only ones who know his real self are his best pals , Kishin, Kitsugawa , Shogi , Xue , Seirei , Haku and Kanna .
He likes being alone in the night , wearing new robes , sitting on the huge cherry blossom tree that's planted in Kishin's garden , teasing Kishin , eating shaved ice and fighting. He literally dislikes morning because sunlight hurts his eyes, can't stand rainy seasons and water , as he hates being wet, those miscevious guys that like bullying the weak while they're weak themselves
