the traveler
a traveler and adventurer. ferne is his hometown, and base of operations. he travels the world in search of new resources (and treasure). he's been to the far corners of the world, and is currently searching for the legendary farlands.

heo valden (ign ttheotmmrw), is a fun loving, courageous, and curious person. he's a little dumb, but nobody knows more about the geography and layout of the land then he does. he loves shiny things, and is obsessed with treasure hunting, nobody can keep their valuables in a normal chest without him getting to them. mayflower is his childhood best friend, and he loves dragging her around on his quests and jobs

ver since theo was a kid, he's dreamt of seeing the farlands. it sounded like something out of a legend (it was), a wall of strange land, on the very edges of the world. that day, he decided he would see everything the world had to offer. he grew up telling mayflower all about his ideas, and dreams of one day seeing the world, and he promised her that one day, the two of them would see the farlands for themselves... and unlock the very mysteries of this legend. as they grew up, theo's dream never went away, and mayflower still remembers his promise.
one day, when returning from an adventure, theo met a new member of the server, tie, whom he immediately decided was his best friend. he shows them around the server, and even introduces them to mayflower, and he tells them that they always have a home in ferne, no matter where they go. he's devastated when they burn their home down, and the rest of the server elects not to tell him about their exile, saying that they'd run away. he's searching for them in every corner of the world, wishing they'd somehow reach out and contact him about their whereabouts. he's still continuing his search for the farlands.
he misses home during his travels a lot, and wishes there was a way to be in two places at once. theo wants desperately to bring mayflower with him on his adventures, but she insists on staying and keeping the peace in ferne. he has no idea where tie could be, and he wants his friends to stay with him at all times. he's constantly up and out of ferne, and never stays there for too long, with the exeption of staying for tie and mayflower.
f i had to compare theo to a real bird, he would be a crow! his design is also inspired by my fav char of all time, yosuke hanamura from persona 4 (you can see it in the hair), and steampunk aesthetics.
he's got sort of like antler antennae? i dont really know how to describe it honestly. he also wears the goggles everywhere, as it's important for the eyes to be protected during flight. he wears a lot of leather because of that as well. his inventory takes the shape of a backpack, which he stores things in, and he also wears far too much gold and gemstones for a traveller (he's obsessed with shiny things).
DESIGN NOTES
- NEVER takes the goggles off, unless he's sleeping. has goggle hair.
- clothing is almost all waterproof, for flying in storms.
- has a matching friendship emerald with mayflower.

the overworld
- theo has about a billion bowls in his inventory. nobody knows why really, but it must be from all that soup.
- he is actually a firm denier in the end, despite knowing and seeing endermen. he doesn't believe in it because he's never found a stronghold.
- he's never been seen by anyone without his goggles, except for mayflower, who's slept over at his house.
theo promised to take her to the farlands, which she always remembers. the two grew up together, and have a bond stronger than anything. he often worries about her when he's away from home though.
he cares a lot for them, and worries about them never breaking out of their shell. theo hopes they are ok, wherever they are in the world. theo wants to find them desperately, and hopes the two can see the world together one day.
