Mardelia as a character takes on the role of the player character in the plotline of MapleStory 2. As a Runeblade, she suffers from temporary amnesia, and her continuation of her work is fueled by the instructions of her teacher. Generally, she's very energetic and playful. As of now, she is one of the only two living Rune Sages.

Her current outfit is a modified version of the Runeblade's trimmed ravenous uniform. She chose to wear it to blend in better among crowds, a benefit for the work she's been instructed to do. Please ignore that her one hand looks weird I'm planning on redrawing sprites for her.

A plain and forlorn looking accessory once belonging to a nameless adventurer. Traces of old blood suggest its owner met with an unlucky fate. Despite its ominous history, it feels warm and familiar.

The cape she wears. She's unsure of who she got it from, as it appeared outside of her temporary residence in a package addressed to her. She tries to take good care of it, to honour its original owner.

She's used it with her current uniform, and has only recently retired it with her obtainment of her demonwing blade.

Ishura

As his only student, Mardelia looks up to Ishura. It's unknown how long she has been training under his wing, but it's been long enough that they are familar with each other and are relatively close. Both are mutually protective of one another. She's also very loyal to him, as he is one of the only people who she will listen to without question. Mardelia almost exclusively refers to him as "Master", and only refers to him by name if she is talking to someone else.

After the blackshard incident, Mardelia gets really worried about the disappearance of her teacher, Eupheria, and Landevian. She finds the three alive within the anomaly, but is unable to convince them to go back with her, and Ishura forces her out of the anomaly. When it comes to the time when she has to neutralize the lapentouched Runeblades, Ishura is arguably the most difficult one for her to fight. Not because of skill or strength, but more for the emotional impact, as she's completely unaware on the potential damage the fights could cause him. Thankfully, all of the Runeblades survive the ordeal, and they are purified to their original states. Although Ishura expresses guilt over attacking his student, Mardelia is just happy that everyone turned out okay.

Holstatt

The strongest of the Eight Blades, Terrun Calibre's Jibricia sect. leader, and Arazaad's murderer

Having come across the tail end of the fight between Holstatt and Arazaad, witnessing the death of Terrun Calibre's previous Elder Blade and the leader of the Pelgia sect., as well as having her own blade shattered and suffering a head injury from her attempt at fighting him, Mardelia loathes Holstatt. Her feelings of hatred towards him are also partially fueled by her loyalty to her teacher, who has expressed his feelings of upset at Holstatt's actions. Holstatt seems to feel indifferent towards her, although seems to see her as a bit of a nuisance.

When they first encountered each other, Mardelia had somehow not recognised him by looks nor voice. Although Holstatt kept trying to push her to stay out of his business, the two kept running into each other as they were both after a common enemy; Turka. Shortly after the blackshard incident, Holstatt accepts help from her to neutralize the lapentouched Runeblades. When the three are brought back, he assists in purifying the other Runeblades. After discovering who he was, Mardelia lashes out in anger at him for hiding his identity. The two encounter each other again in Kritias, and after learning they both were searching for Turka, they begrudgingly become allies again. After Turka is defeated, Holstatt is presumed to stay with Sky Fortress temporarily while Mardelia accidentally gets pulled into dealing with a new situation while attempting to deliver a letter to the empress.

Although I'm unsure of the specifics on their relationship, they seem to think positively of each other. Mardelia and Eupheria probably met through their connections with Ishura, and through his dialogue (as well as some of Eupheria's), it's stated that the two are familiar with each other.
