The Farmer's diligent apprentice, Apple is silent, except for her frequent laughter. This isn't to say that she doesn't speak, however. Just not how you'd expect. This odd trait, plus the mysteriousness of what lies beneath her many leaves and mask, has led some to speculate that Apple is a sort of super-sophisticated--and very large--Hedgehaunt.
While abnormal Friends are normally the result of interference with a seedling by deer or rabbits--or of corrupted offerings--some of the, err, quirkier additions to the crop are the result of Apple secretly trying her impatient skill.
Apple's "mask" has never been removed in the presence of others. No one knows what's under it, except the Farmer, who was one of the first people to ever bother to ask and the only to be obliged. Her response was: "Hm."

Sometimes the edge of a round black or very dark greyish-brown head is visible around Apple's mask, but it's optional
Apple has no toes, only little pointed feet
She does have arms, however--she just normally keeps them beneath her poncho
She can be drawn with a "split" poncho to allow for arm poses, or a closed one
Her leaves can be drawn as if they are made of fabric or as real leaves
Her expression CAN change, but rarely does--normally only to an angry face or a frown, if required
Apple is about four feet tall, but sometimes can appear taller or shorter depending on her mood
She is capable of shrinking down to just about a foot high!
Apple was formerly a Mocchin but has been converted to an OC, so she does not have Mocchin traits any longer
