Profile
Karda is a crow spirit, formerly employed under Apollo, the ancient Greek god of the sun, archery, music, and prophecy. After the Greek empire was collapsed by the Romans, he went on to take residence in the wilds, hunting and telling travellers their futures.
Karda is typically quiet, only contributing hums and grunts to conversations. They are quick to anger and get very passionate about things that piss them off, which is how you can get the most talking out of them. Either that or asking about ancient Greece, anyway. After moving into modern society, he took to the punk aesthetic very quickly. He'd consider himself an activist if he didn't just think his "opinions" made him a decent person. Karda still carries a lot of Greek values, finding strength and bonds very important.
Living a life as a normal crow, Apollo decided to graduate Karda into his ranks after their natural death. His tasks were simple: direct omens for oracles and provide guidance to followers of his god. He became a hunter on the side, enjoying archery and travel in the ancient country.
That is, until the Romans invaded.
Karda practically watched the devastation of Greece. He wanted to aid, but Apollo barred him from interfering with the war, saying it wasn't his place. And as it fell even from the gods' control, he was not allowed to do anything but observe as his home and culture faded away into a bastardization. Eventually, he stopped being able to hear even Apollo, and left.
He found himself in an untouched forest near the Roman border, and he took residence there. Any Romans that came in died. Any other travellers could have a fortune. That is how he lived for centuries, only hearing tell of the rest of the world through the words of vagabonds.
One day, machines swept through the trees and bulldozed his home. Angry and distraught, Karda set out into the modern world, in search of information about the name emblazened on the destructive vehicles. The internet has been very helpful in his revenge plot.

Karda is naturally adept at divination magic, and will perform whatever kind is most convenient at the time, or whichever the client prefers. Though he knows most about types of divination practiced in ancient Greece, he has picked up newer or foreign types of fortune-telling, such as tarot or tasseography. He doesn't perform haruspicy anymore, unless someone particularly rubs him the wrong way.
More of a transformation, Karda can turn into a phoenix of myth, becoming temporarily invulnerable and adept at fire magic.
