traits: Having not had much interaction with others during his childhood, Chappie is easily moldable. He has no real knowledge of what is supposed to be good and what is supposed to be bad. He gets things mixed up easily and is easily manipulated and very easy to corrupt, so long as you're gentle with him. He absolutely hates violence but, if told the right thing, will go in swinging and not stop fighting until the battle is won. He is incredibly loyal to whoever befriends him, regardless of who they are, again, as long as you say the right thing to him he will want to be friends with you, even if you are evil, because he was around equines that could be considered evil but they were very gentle with him as a child. He hates death and doesn't deal with it well. It takes him a long time to get over death and even when he "gets over it," it still affects him.

history: Chappie was an orphaned colt, barely a few days old when his mother passed away from an unknown cause, when he was found by a trio (a set of twins and a friend of theirs) of bandits. The mare, the younger sister of the twin, was the first to notice the colt laid curled up next to his mother's long dead body. Annalisa was her name and she begged her brother, Rupert, and their friend, Niaz, to please allow her to take him in. She wanted to nurture him and have him grow into a lovely young lad. Rupert, however, had other ideas. He knew it would be easy to corrupt a child so he agreed to take in the colt, only to start filling his head with ideas. At first, Chappie would refuse, saying it was bad, that it was evil, but Niaz planted the idea in his head that he wasn't hurting others... he was just making them go to sleep. And, with that, they turned Chappie into a killing machine, young but efficient, by the age of one. Annalisa was not happy about it and still tried to give Chappie love but it was difficult when he started getting closer to Rupert and Niaz, taking less time to play and to learn about the world around him.

It was when he was two years old that things changed drastically. Chappie was out spying on a herd when Annalisa, bloody and half alive, stumbled up to him and told him to run and to never come back. She forced him to leave, shouting that it was no longer safe for him in their home, and telling him that Rupert and Niaz were both dead. With a broken heart and confused mind, Chappie fled, following his instructions as always and never looking back. Not once.

It was mid winter when he arrived in Wild Equines, collapsing in the snow, exhausted and weary. He was found by a stallion by the name of Labac (Vin), who offered to help him find a warm place to sleep, as sleeping sprawled out in the snow was a good way to freeze to death. Chappie explained, childishly, that he'd been told to run away, to stay safe. He asked what snow was. He was so naive and innocent. Labac (Vin) helped to get Chappie situated under the branches of a pine tree, much warmer than collapsed in the snow. Labac (Vin) asked why Chappie had to run away, but Chappie didn't know the details, only that his Mum had told him to run away. He then asked Labac (Vin) if there were "bad horses" here in Wild Equines, too. Sadly, Chappie never got an answer, as Labac (Vin) parted ways, leaving Chappie - at least - warm, but alone once more. Labac: The first horse he met in Wild Equines. Helped him to find warmth, and then left him alone.
Niaz: A friend of Annalisa and Rupert. Convinced Chappie he wasn't killing others but simply "making them sleep."
Rupert: Annalisa's twin that began Chappie's corruption.
