When the sun gets tainted

Helios was named that way because he brought immense joy to the Alcaraz family. Even if he couldn’t do anything, his smile was enough to keep the morale high. The little demon was especially his older sister’s favorite and the two of them would often spend time together.

Unfortunately, two monsters tore the family apart, leaving the older sister without a family. And Helios? Kidnapped by them. No one knew he was still alive, as the word of him being dead was spread all across Osculithe.

During that time, Helios was “raised” by the monsters that kidnapped him: he was thrown in the wilds and forced to fend for himself, as this was how they were raised, apparently. Thankfully, he was strong and clever, which allowed him to survive. He was sometimes seen with the monsters killing others for fun & for sustenance, but no one did the association between him and the Alcaraz massacre.

At the service of evil

One day, though, the monsters vanished, leaving Helios alone. While wandering around, he found a prince who offered him a place to belong in. Not knowing where else to go, Helios accepted, not fully knowing what he had gotten himself into. Since then, he had been at the service of Nocturnus with the job to assassinate those the prince deemed as obstacles for his goals. While he had been successful for most of his jobs, Helios became more and more unhappy about the situation he had found himself in.

As he was so close to the age of 18, he couldn't resist by try to visit the travelling casino by the name of the Hound Empress Casino. There, he met a very amicable casino owner by the name of Giovanni who had a very noble goal to help people with their gambling addictions by setting limits and directing them towards proper help ressources. While Helios was mildly interested, he was more intrigued by some of the guests that would show up, mainly the richer-looking ones. There, he met Caelus, who seemed to only want the best for him despite not knowing much about Helios to begin with.

Was that going to be the light to the better future he had always wanted? Perhaps...

• The two monsters that raised Helios have been killed by Sirius.
• Helios is a name that means sun in Greek. This is due to the fact his smile was able to make others feel better whenever things were going wrong. Unfortunately, that smile very much got tainted...
• Helios has the Alcaraz ability of bloodthirst, which allows him to transform into a monster that becomes stronger after each kill. He abused this ability, which is the main reason he has extra eyes & permanent black sclera.
• He has a massive preference for spicy foods in general over anything else. He doesn't mind everything else but can't stand anything that's bitter.
• The choker was a gift given by Procyon after joining him. The gem seems to have a special ability, but no one is sure of what it is.
