Wavves
Evan lives in his college's dorms and works at the local coffee shop, "Pawffee". He's studying biology and hopes to one day be an ornithologist. Most of his daily activities are structured as he can't stand not planning ahead.
He's currently the guitarist for "The Heebie Jeebies", a band formed with his friends. He can also be seen at the nearby record shop after he gets his paycheck, and knows most of the employees there.

Evan is just a guy doing his best. He seems pretty laid back to most, but is internally anxious most of the time. He tries to be as kind as possible, but has difficulty making and mantaining friendships.
He values honesty and sensitivity in friendships, and the few he considers friends he holds close. Those close to him affectionately refer to him as the 'mom friend'.

Evan had a harsh upbringing, with a mostly absent father and an uncaring mother. He had to learn to take care of himself as both would frequently leave him alone for days at a time.
His rough home life led to him bullying kids at school, and one of those kids was Liam. He got suspended multiple times for making other kids upset, which only made home life worse, though he would keep misbehaving in order to get any kind of attention from his parents.
Once Evan graduated highschool, his parents jumped at the chance to get him out of the house and quickly put him into college. This suited him just fine, as he couldn't stand living with them anymore.
Evan changed a lot over his last 4 years in college, quickly learning that his previous attitude wasn't going to get him far. He found it easier to pursue his studies away from his toxic home, and genuinely found interest in the major his parents arbitrarily picked for him.
When it came to getting a job, he applied for basically anything he could find. He chose to follow up with the local coffee shop since they were just across the street from the college dorms. He's now been working there for 3 years and has made a few friends and aquaintances through it.
He tries to be more kind in an effort to make up for his past but doesn't have very good social skills. Evan finds himself caring more about what other people think of him and worrying about how his words could be taken.

The two originally met while Evan was on shift, and had trouble spelling Ashe's name for her order. He seemed incredibly apologetic, and she thought it was cute. Ashe started frequenting the shop to study and to see her new crush, which he seemed flustered by every time.
Ashe found she loved to tease him, but they had found a lot of similar interests and bonded during Evan's breaks. After a few while Ashe asked him on a date, and the two have been inseperable since.
best friend
Evan met him through their shared Spanish course, and Charlie struck up a conversation when he noticed Evan wearing a band tee. The two excitedly shared music recommendations the rest of the class, to their professor's chagrin.
They quickly started hanging out together, playing video games and swapping vinyls. When Charlie learned that Evan played bass he immediately suggested they start a band, which would eventually end up being formed with the two of them and Liam.

Evan's heart dropped when he found out the person interviewing him for the job was a kid he used to bully. Liam had clearly recognized him and judging how he looked at Evan, he could tell the guy still held a grudge. The only reason Evan got hired was because the store had been understaffed.
Over time their relationship got better, but there was always a certain tension between them until a tryst in the manager's room after hours. What ultimately brought them closer was being mutual friends of Charlie.

Sherri met Evan at a party back in his 2nd year of college, and they chatted about how neither of them really had any friends there. The two hooked up briefly but it never became an offical thing.
She still thinks he's cute and frequents the coffee shop, but the two are just good friends now.
