⚙️Maximus Lennon

MAX  is the rock that binds The Fab Gears together.   Paul and Max are best friends. Paul and George admire and depend on him   for his wisdom and optimism. His unshaken belief that all people are   inherently good, perhaps simply misunderstood, lends itself to an   incredibly resilient attitude in the face of hardship. A   live-and-let-live attitude comes naturally to him, and he hates being   constrained by rules. So long as his principles and ideas are not being   challenged, he’ll support Paul's right to do what he thinks is right. When   something captures his massive imagination and speaks to his beliefs,   he goes all in, dedicating his time, energy, thoughts and emotions to   the project. His shyness keeps him from being a leader and orator for   the group, but he's the first to lend a helping hand where it’s needed,   especially with the band, close friends, or his love interests.

• Clothing:  Max loves the edgy "bad boy" image, attempting to make himself appear cool. 1950s greaser-style leather jacket with the collar turned up and a white t-shirt when their band first got together. Later on, he most often wore a fringed purple poncho when he doesn't care how the world views him. Max only wears glasses when not in the public eye and uses them when watching TV, drawing or reading. Custom-made jeans and dress pants were specifically made for Max's digitigrade legs as The Fab Gears perform different moments throughout the Beatles career. 

Trivia

Max's Poor Eyesight: Max is very nearsighted, but he refuses to wear glasses in public for fear of looking uncool. "Elvis never wore glasses!" he's exclaimed whenever Paul brought up that any unseen hazard could cause him to trip or fall. Max claims that squinting makes him look cool and aloof, but his eyesight is so bad he can't tell a person from a post box at a distance, which his friends find hilarious when they call to him on the street. Eventually Paul convinced him after Max wandered onto a bomb-testing site that caused him to become mortally wounded but was narrowly saved by magic. 

Max's Heart Crystal: As stated above, he was saved by Yinny's magic after he had wandered onto a bomb-testing site and was hit by a small explosion, sending shrapnel into his chest. The shredded pieces of his heart were bonded together by magic and placed inside a prism crystal which now he wears as a necklace. His fragmented heart glows red with magic and the glow pulsates with every beat. If the chain is removed from around his neck, he will die instantly, and if the crystal is struck against any surface, he will feel pain. Therefore, Max always keeps the crystal safe within a hidden pocket on the inside of his clothing, so that it doesn't sway or knock about. The red prism glow can always be seen through his shirts.

Art Inspiration: Max's appearance is based on a 90s (unknown brand) musical cocker spaniel puppet, and his personality is very loosely based on John Lennon of The Beatles:
