The Date is March 26, 1999 and you've just received a weird email.

Meet MELISSA, or Mel as he calls himself, and he is Cyber City's number #1 rated marketer nuisance. From day one, Mel has always been a shady fellow, running from house to house dropping off suspicious emails, shoving corrupted and tainted junk into the inboxes of others, and having the gall to tout himself as a legitimate businessman when the reality is he's far from it. He's not even actually a businessman at all.

There was a time when Mel was actually quite feared. The damage he caused knew no bounds, there was no system that was left untouched. However, those days have long since passed, and Mel has gone from a genuinely feared criminal to a loud and annoying pest. Don't let his hard luck fool you though, he's quite a formidable (and equally as obnoxious) foe in combat. Mel is capable of splitting his limbs in half to increase his range when he attacks, and when cornered, he can transform into his worm form, an animalistic string of malicious code set on destroying and devouring anything in its path.

Mel's current whereabouts are unknown, but last that anyone heard, he was out looking for a special [Number #1 Rated Salesman 1997] to repay him for throwing him under the bus and ruining his life.

Mel is a computer virus, his physical form is made up of code, which means that he can easily change his appearance on a whim if he so desires. Changing his appearance means his stats and abilities will change as well.

Mel's worm form is a glass cannon, only to be used when no other options are available to him. This form grants him the ability to destroy and devour anything in his path, including boring holes into infrastructure, but has very weak defense and can be easily taken out. Transforming into this form is usually a death wish, so should he get in a fight he'll use his claws until he can't anymore.

Despite being ready to fight at all times, no one has ever challenged him, or accepted his challenges. His life is very boring and this makes him even angrier about his situation.
