Easily exciteable, overly energetic, and a loud mouth, Jaypaw is almost a bit too sterotypical for a new apprentice. They're not one to shy away from challenges, and always welcomes any threats or teasing with a smirk and claw-happy paws. But despite their seemed hot-headedness Jaypaw is not reckless when it comes to others. Actually Jaypaw is a bit shy when not worked up from a dare, fight, or hunt. They would rather fight someone than attempt a conversation, talking to others makes Jaypaw overly anxious of their own words and they will speak quietly with a stutter, most likely overthinking their own words. When stuck in conversation, Jaypaw will usually stay quite in an attempt to fade into the background, or will respond with short scentences.
After being attached to their father's, Lightningtooth, side all kithood, Jaypaw never socalized with any of the other kits or young cats. They would only follow their father around when they could, or sit in the elders den until he came back. Of course Jaypaw knew all the elders, but that dosen't mean they activly socalized with them. Just sat quietly and listened to chit-chat or stories.
Sporting a cute pink nose and short fur thats somewhere between a light orange and a creme color, jaypaw has classic zig-zag tabby stripes with a large white blotch on their chest. Darker markings are on the tips of their ears, under their eyes, and on their chin. Jaypaw's eyes are heterochromic and sport both a light blue and warm caramel brown color.

Jaypaw loves their dad with all their heart. Lightningtooth took over parenting when Oakfrost passed away. Despite being a fragile warrior, he would play any and all games with Jaykit, and spent the most time with them when he retired early to the elders den.
Now as an apprentice, Jaypaw stopped depending so much on their father in hopes of letting him rest with the other elders and watch them grow.
Oakfrost was a wonderful warrior when she was still alive, equal parts sweet and threatening when it came to protecting her clan. No one thought she would pass quietly while giving birth to Jaypaw and their sibling.
Jaypaw holds Oakfrost's legacy close to their heart and uses their mother's past actions as a model to life. Jaypaw does wish their mother was still alive, but they've already accpted the past and refuse to dawdle on it.
