Profile

Name: Computerized Virtuoso #2 (CV02)

Age: 1 year

Gender: Male (He/It)

Personality: CV02 wants to be a world renowned rock star, plain and simple. Naturally, that means a bit of an ego. A sort of "I already know I'm hot shit," type attitude. Despite this slightly inflated ego, he has a bit of a "surfer dude" vibe going on. Maybe it's his robotic lack of understanding to other people's issues, maybe he's just like that. Regardless of his somewhat aloof disposition, he's generally kindhearted and.. Relatively down to earth? He's definitely not someone you'd want to go to with your problems, though. Lest you get a "haha wow that sucks." in response. Robot and all, I'm sure you get it.

Backstory: It was a cold and stormy night when Marvin had the bright idea to build himself a jukebox. It gets quiet, living alone in the middle of a desert with nothing but your revolutionary inventions to keep you company. Yes, a jukebox was absolutely necessary to the continuation of MIT (Marvin Inventions / Technology). He'd always liked the idea of music, of course, but he'd never had the time to bother actually listening to it. So, build a jukebox he did.

CV01 was built in the following weeks, to scratch that particular itch. It was a simple looking invention. A box with an insert & two arms. You'd simply place sheet music into the insert slot and it'd play a perfect rendition of whatever you wanted! .. There was just one problem. A small catch that made this invention the most useless thing he'd invented since the Square Wheel™. He didn't own any sheet music. (...) Well, it's a perfect chance to try out that new yelling window he'd installed recently, at least. Oh, right! And to create another robot to write sheet music for the first one. Ingenious, of course.

So, more weeks passed. This time, Marvin had outdone himself. Not only did CV02 use all of the technology that was used in CV01, it was faster, could write original music and play it perfectly, and, what he thought was the greatest part of all.. He was (almost) completely sapient! A nearly perfect music playing AI, what could be better than that? Nothing. Nothing could... Except, CV02 wasn't quite what Marvin had been expecting. It was a little loud, it didn't like the violin and, perhaps worst of it all.. It had the personality of a really shitty "rock star." Oh well, surely things couldn't go too poorly, right? It's not like it'd forsake its classical training (of which it had none) and take up the guitar or something, right?

... It took up the keytar. Not even a week had passed since he'd built this machine and it'd not only taken up all of his time to take care of, but it had constantly demanded a more "robotic kinda axe," whatever that meant. CV02 was very, very happy when Marvin had finally relented and built him a synthesiser. It was close enough to a piano, right? Maybe he'd still get that calming classical vibe he wanted.. Until it broke the damn thing trying to put a neck onto it. Some repairs and a stern talking to later, CV02 had his very first keytar and... Well, it was all downhill from there, wasn't it?

It's been about a year since that fateful day and Marvin has grown accustomed to the much different style of music (which CV02 would refer to as "like, whatever came to mind i guess? haha"), even coming to very slightly enjoy it. CV02 spends most of his time writing music, playing music or talking to all of his adoring fans on Twitch (note: he has no fans, nor followers). Occasionally he'll stray from his music cave to talk to his Father or play games (osu!mania and Clone Hero are his favourites), much to Marvin's displeasure.

Extra: The mouth on his face is purely decorative. His voice is projected through the microphone symbol on his chest (which makes talking while playing music very, very difficult).

It is worth noting that he can change his expression to a limited degree, despite this.  The square on his jacket isn't actually a pocket, it's a covering for his charging port (he does have pockets in his pants, though. That's where he keeps his broken keys).

The "CV" in "CV02" means "Computerized Virtuoso," the 02 referring to the fact that he's the second of two CVs to be built. (See backstory)
