Personality

An indie pop/electro pop musician. Kevin is the main songwriter in musical duo, Disordered Anxiety  Onstage, Kevin has a nice cadence with his singing, and skillful at keyboards and keytar. A flashy performer with great energy. Offstage, Kevin is more recluse and introverted. He has a knack for getting lost in his creative process. Once the creative juices are flowing, Kevin can spend several hours composing music. The creative process drags him in deep enough that he forgets to eat, and procrastinates on housework.

When he finds himself unable to get in the groove, Kevin has trouble focusing. He gets moody and frustrated when the creative block hits.
Kevin sets high expectations for himself. And though he's a talented composer and lyricist, his perfectionism can get in the way of seeing how good a creation actually is. He has to remind himself of the good parts, and strive to do better next time. Sometimes easier said than done.


Kevin avoids any talk of a romantic or sex life. Often saying "Music is my true love." or "I'm married to my music." Kevin is aromantic asexual, and struggled with his identity for years; thinking he was broken and abnormal. Even after finding out about asexuality, and finding himself fitting the label, he wasn't taken seriously by a lot of his allo peers, especially his guy friends. They'd brush it off saying things like "You haven't met the right person," or that he "needs a good lay". As a result, Kevin only discloses his orientation to people he can feel himself around, as well as fellow aces n' aros. 

Kevin feels a mass disconnect between himself and a lot of people. He has a small handful of people he can be fully comfortable around. He's an introvert by nature.

He becomes good friends with the members of asexual rock band, Vanilla after seeing them perform. (WIP)

FACTS:

-Kevin has ADHD and anxiety
-He has a tendency to fidget/stim.
-Kevin's influences include indie pop artists like Foster the People, MGMT, Grouplove, etc, as well as 80s pop music that's synth-heavy.
-Named after the Pansy Division song "Kevin". The titular character gives me the vibes of a closeted aro-ace that doesn't have a label for himself.
-Will eat cereal without milk.
