In said world, there is a vast amount of woodland/wilderness. I think it might be a cool idea if when the adventurers first get transported to the world, they don't exactly treat the world with respect (There are gods for almost every aspect of the world) so they get cursed by the nature goddess, this causes the forests to fight back creating creatures like this! (I'd even love to use this as a creative spark to design some more plant based bois!) He could potentially be a particularly timid one, all of the others relentless until the adventurers are off their world but the fear of getting destroyed was too much for this lil fern and perhaps he comes face to face with one of the adventurers? I imagine he's mute due to his head being made out of ferns so they might have a new language that they've developed (which aaaa thinking about to develop a completely silent plant language sounds so cool!!! Maybe I could do it with how leaves curl? Or things like that!) Either way, i imagine the adventurers grow a new respect for the nature around them, leaving the group a little more respectful into this land instead of seen as a playground until they find a way home.
