Born from human father and werewolf mother, Emmaline never saw what's outside the Wailing Forest as a child, since her parents were very worried others would consider her a freak for being half werewolf, or even worse hurt her.
However, her curiosity took the best of her, and she managed to hide her wolf features with a hooded cape and explore the nearby places when her parents were away. She's very self-content of herself, and doesn't think she's strange because of being an "hybrid"; to her this only shows how strong love is and how it can surpass all boundaries. This attitude of hers brought her to meet Darya and some other Roses of Love, and being considered as the last missing Rose, the Cream Rose of Love.
