traits: Hayden is a sweetheart. He can be hyper and bouncy and loud, but he's also very gentle and laid back and tends to only be hyper around people he completely trusts which, sadly, isn't many. He knows just what to do to not offend others, and can hide his hurt from others so he doesn't make them feel uncomfortable. He doesn't like others to feel discomfort, or sadness, and always seeks to please others. He can be a bit of a push over, and many have taken advantage of his because of this. He hates when people are stuck up and snobby, and anyone speaking against gay rights or making fun of him hurts his feelings, and also hurts a lot of other people. He is shy, especially around new people. Around guys he can be really quiet, especially if he doesn't know if they are straight or not because he knows a lot of guys flip out about things like that. If you happen to be one of his close friends, he'll trust you with anything and everything and will be extremely loyal to you. Hayden isn't the type to blackmail, or spread rumors, or spill secrets. He is afraid of draft horses and gets clingy very quickly.

history: Hayden grew up in the typical Light herd. Everyone was nice and happy and helpful. They were all friends. There was no real trouble from neighboring herds, except for the occasional arguments over territory. Fights were gentlemanly, and most of the time, it was the boys fighting and not the girls. Sometimes, a mare would fight, though it was greatly discouraged. This was the life Hayden led. Or, at least, that's what it seemed like. His immediate family consists of his mother, his father, and an older sister. Everything about them seemed perfect. His sister could be a bit rebellious, but Hayden was always the more quiet one. And he had a reason to be. You see, Hayden had a secret, a secret that his father did not approve of and Hayden would surely die if he ever found out. Hayden... was gay. And when his father started to suspect something was 'wrong' with his son, who would not flirt with the girls and who seemed too giggly and shy around the other colts, Hayden started to receive beatings, inappropriate touches. They started when he was very young, before he was even a yearling, and he was threatened with death if he ever told someone. Things started to get worse as poor, innocent Hayden got older. His father would beat him more and more every day, and once even raped him. That was too much for him to take. Limping, bruised, and battered Hayden escaped from his terrible family, still convinced that 'daddy' loved him, and eventually arrived in Wild Equines.

(5 years) After suffering an attack in the Bachelor Lands (NPCs), Hayden went to Crystal Pools. There, laying in one of the pools, curled up as much as he could, he was approached by a young girl (Talia played by Indi). She asked him why he was so sad and he replied because he had been bad. They did not talk long and soon parted ways. He did not get her name, and does not know that she was an angel. Thread.

He met Dorak (Indi) out in Femiet Beach when he was a few months older than five years old. It wasn't a very... graceful meeting. Hayden nearly fainted out of fear just by seeing the larger, older brute, expecting to be attacked since that was what he was used to, but instead Dorak (Indi) just calmly spoke to him, eventually getting through introductions. Dorak (Indi) spoke of his family, his sister, and that caught Hayden's attention because he missed his own sister terribly and when Dorak (Indi) invited him to go meet his sister, Hayden, of course, couldn't refuse. He was never one to say no, even though he was still nervous.
