The town of Rohan has been fighting the threat of werewolves since decades now, no one daring to wander in the woods anymore. To make the problem worse, a couple villages nearby need periodical trades of food and other necessities from Rohan, the only town nearby them, in order to sustain themselves. Evacuating the villagers to Rohan doesn't seem to be an option; the time it was tried, it was a massacre. So, until a more efficient solution is found, the special Rohan warriors called R.E.D. (Rohan's Elite Defense) have made their new goal not only to defend the town by werewolves...but also to travel within the woods in order to bring the required assistance to the villages.

Hilda comes from one of Rohan's noblest families, and as such her path into the RED military was considerably easier compared to other girls. She always had a good way with words, shaping people's beliefs in what she wanted and thus becoming one of the youngest RED leads in Rohan's history thanks to her popularity and ability to lead groups of people (she was 18).
Even though, coming from such a rich and influent family, she's indeed quite snobby at times, she's pretty friendly overall and has many friends among soldiers, nobles and citizens alike. And even if she takes her work very seriously and works hard, she may sometimes go around rules if she feels there's a good reason for it; that's why she still kept Thane around even after his ban, she thought it would have been a huge loss of potential letting him go. Even if there's just one year of difference between them, likes to treat Thane as a little brother (even almost like a pet at times, patting him and giving him stupid nicknames, but in a benevolent way) but still really respects him and considers him a valuable ally in her missions.
After a werewolf in his fully human form tried asking for hospitality in Rohan, tired of the life as bloodlusting creature, was slayed, the two took interest in actually going and see how the werewolf community really lives and thinks, to see if they can come to an agreement that doesn't involve anymore deaths. On the way, Hilda and Thane got separated, and when they met each other again she was surprised to also see Daya tagging along, but appreciates the girl's healing capacities and her ability to talk with animals and werewolves.
