History:

Growing up as the daughter of a prestigious human family, Irisviel had a very happy childhood. It ended the day she turned sixteen when she awakened as as a witch. Women who were able to store magic in their hats and possessed special abilities. In a world that was wary of witches, her family locked her away like a bird in the cage. While most witches possess more of an offensive or defensive capabilities, Irisviel's powers were more of a prophetic nature. Because of that, she was allowed the freedom to live.

Kept in a secluded shrine with a magic circle to restrain her movements, many came to seek the power of foresight. This continued for tens of hundreds of years while Irisviel eventually forgot the time she spent as a human. As the years passed, those who knew of the individual "Irisviel" was gone. In her place was the myth known as the "Witch of Space and Time." Those who have come to see her say she is more like a beautiful doll than a human. This is more of an accurate term considering witches are no longer human. While she faithfully follows the succeeding family head's orders, Irisviel does not see any purpose or meaning to her life.
