Lived in a snowy mountaintop before he got a bad hand injury, wise but doesn’t know how to heal so he took himself down to the only human nearby that looked trustworthy which was Drosselmeyer and his workshop, and Drosselmeyer made him better through magic (but he had to keep the bandage on for it to heal more, magic doesnt work 100% especially on a dragon)

most people just see the dragon as a human through illusion, but since drosselmeyer is a powerful magician, he is the only one who sees right through it and knows he’s a dragon so drosselmeyer has to keep it a secret 

He never really lived with a human before because he was always scared of them finding out who he was but drosselmeyer was so kind especially knowing that he’s a dragon so he ended up leaving his life of solitude to join drosselmeyer wherever he roams
