PERSONALITY
Loyal • Selfless • Contradictory • Flirtatious • Stubborn • Instigator
Loyal to a fault, once you’re in Kimua’s good books he’ll defend you to hell and back. However, once you’re in his bad books he’ll also taunt you to hell and back. Call it loyalty or call it stubbornness, it’s up to you.
Fairly confident in his own skin and with a questionable sense of personal-space, he’s known to tease and flirt his way through situations. Regardless of whether or not he's actually capable of fighting for himself, he'll opt for the human shield and/or damsel in distress approach for as long as he can. If he wants that donut you’re eating, he’ll try his damned hardest to bat his eyes at you until you handeth-it-over (of course, if you tell him to back off and respect your space he’ll listen). It’s his now.

STORY
Early Life
Kimua was born to a humble family in a humble river-side village running a humble restaurant in the south west of Irvas. There wasn’t much to do or much to see, but it was home. Kimua spent his days dreaming of the world beyond the forests, the world and lifestyle depicted in the novels he read.
Dreaming of a better life, Kimua migrated to Faline. There, he hoped to be able to expand his education, get a better paying job than what was available in the small villages, and support his family back home. He left the village unaware of the magic that was steadily brewing inside of him.
Life in Faline
In Faline, Kimua was able to land a job as an assistant to the record keepers, helping them log and organise the scrolls recording Irvas' history and daily life. He loved his job dearly and everything he was able to learn through it. An unexpected lesson Kimua drew was his dislike of the Order. As far as the young man was concerned, reading the records that came across his table, the Order was nothing more than exploitative organisation, ripping families apart. He considered himself fortunate to not have any magic of his own.
Perhaps it was that thought that jinxed it. It was a regular Tuesday, Kimua was doing his regular grumblings about bad handwriting. When, out of no where, a water-made hawk crashed into the bookshelf and triggered a very wet domino effect. No one ever attributed the sudden and unexpected records room disaster to Kimua, but the man could feel it in his blood. This was his fault. He dismissed himself from the job he loved so much, he couldn't risk accidentally damaging any more scrolls (and the fear that the Order may come to investigate).
Present Day
How he came to work as an escort was pure chance. With his savings dwindling and now job lined up, a woman approached him, recruiting the young man to work in her establishment. It wasn't what Kimua had dreamed for himself, or what he ever expected to become - but, he supposed it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. He needed the money.
Even Kimua was shocked at how easily he adapted to his new job, it unlocked a new (bratty) personality he wasn't even aware he had. As he became more popular, he ironically had more free time, more gifts, more money to spend on books. Most importantly, he had the opportunity to interact with order mages and ask them questions about their training without rousing suspicions. Maybe he'd finally be able to get control of whatever it was that ran through his veins.

DISLIKES
- Night shifts (let him go to sleep at 9pm please)

TRIVIA
- The marks on his face are painted on. Let a boy enjoy his make-up.
- Kimua suffers from Tritanopia! He, however, is not aware of this. He just thinks people are very inefficient with their colour-naming conventions.
- Is less coordinated than a drunk toddler. Best way to meet Kimua is by him crashing into you.
- He also does not know what to do with toddlers, or any child under the age of 15 for that matter. Don’t let him babysit, please. Otherwise both he and the kid will end up in tears.
- The quickest way to his heart is with noodles.
- A great way to piss him off is to call him a goat. He may act like a goat but don't tell him that.
- He's roughly based off the Chinese Water Deer - you have to see their little derpy faces and fangs...
MAGIC
Aquatic Friends
Kimua is capable of summoning little water mirages to either keep him company or attack on his behalf. They usually take the form of small (for now) birds. Unfortunately, the little watery friends are rather rebellious, and don't really listen to orders on when, where, or what they're supposed to be doing. You could say like caster like magic.
Costs
- Magic is weakened under specific circumstances: As he draws water from the local humidity/bodies of water, particularly dry days/lack of nearby water sources weakens his magic.
