Well-spoken and convivial, Charlemagne is also a gifted purveyor of all things magical and metaphysical. They can rattle off a spell to aid in almost any situation, they have pored over historical and theoretical tomes for years of their life. Unfortunately, they do not exceed at the practical. The actual components of what make magic work: casting.

However, that drive of theirs comes with a twin edge: impulse. The two have been honed to a dangerous point, leading them to research pacts with extraplanar entities. It all looks pretty simple when one can look past magical legalese and see in bright gold lettering exactly what it is they're trying to find.

Candles, beeswax, purified water, infernal material, silk. A sigil. A few words.

...And a kind of weirdly...low-key meeting with a minor fiend. The two have formed a pact intended to rely on slight of hand and trickery -- in more than one sense. Essentially they've made an agreement under the table. The fiend, Dorian, gets to travel around with Charlemagne on the material plane. Charlemagne gets to use their mindlink in order to prestidigitate reality around their self. As long as they're cool with it being extremely pink-tinged.

Whether this arrangement will work out remains to be seen.
