Ferendiel Arvenor

Ferendiel is a young elf, who was born to an elven couple in a walled-off elven alienage in the city of Denerim.
From his very first moment, this filthy and delipated place showed him the discrimination of his kind and the human’s loathing towards them. When he was around eight years old, he was accidentally confronted by two human mages, who were sneaking around in the alienage. They hit him with a magic spell after he tried to grab an apple, which they had thrown to the floor, and was injured badly.
The result of this attack left a bizarre scar on his forehead, which almost has the same shape as Dalish vallaslin of Ghilan'nain. This is also the reason for him being mistaken for a Dalish elf by mostly humans later on.

Some time later, the alienage was raided by soldiers due to a rebellion. Most of the citizens were cut down, among them were Ferendiel’s parents. Ferendiel managed to escape the battles and was on his own from that moment on.
Not knowing were to go and what to do, Ferendiel joined a gang of elven rogues, who were roaming the city’s streets at night, stealing and rioting. At this time, he also grew a big loathing towards humans, blaming them for the death of his family and the enslavement of his kind. When he became a rogue himself, he saw it as some kind of revenge he was taking on them.

During a raid in Val Royeaux, where he and his group tried to interrupt a speech of the Chantry, he accidentally meets the inquisitor Pahanaa, a Qunari woman. After the fight, him and his team were arrested for their crime.
After some discussion with Pahanaa, he eventually agreed to a deal, which obliged him to join the inquisition himself and support it in exchange for his freedom.

After some primary problems with some of the team members, Ferendiel became an irreplacable member of the group. The only person he still had a big problem with, happened to be the human knight Fabriss. Although she actually didn’t do anything to him, he couldn’t ignore the fact that she’s part of the race that discriminates the elves. Fabriss, however, seems to searched his nearness, since she didn't accept him disliking her for nothing.
They eventually got their conflict solved and even ended up becoming good friends later on. He spent a lot of time with Fabriss. He also taught her about the elven culture and everything that has to do with it, which she enjoyed quite a lot.
After certain events, Ferendiel realized that he had grown love for the human girl, something, he never thought would ever happen. Shortly after, the pair started a relationship.

After the defeat of Corypheus and the disbanding of the inquisition, Ferendiel accompanied Fabriss to Ostwick in order to meet her family. However, Fabriss and him are rejected by the house of Trevelyan for their interracial relationship, which happened to be a big taboo in their tradition. Consequently, Fabriss decided to leave Ostwick and her family for the love of Ferendiel. Later on, Tasmyn, their fellow teammate invited them to trek with her clan, a clan of Dalish elves and the two happily agreed.
From this moment on, the two start their own life within the Dalish Lavellan Clan and Ferendiel finally felt as a free elf.
He will also be the father to Fabriss’ two children later on, Lyllien and Arvor.
