Oscar Pyon

Oscar Pyon, usually referred to as Pyon Sung-Nam among relatives, is a Korean-American high school student living in New York City. He is a laid-back individual who, with the amounts of college frat parties he's invited to (despite being a senior), gets high a lot. He really wishes that that he could kick his Adderall addiction, as it is just starting to manifest physically. He has an on-again, off-again girlfriend who is sick of Oscar being high all the time. 

Oscar's parents are extremely overbearing, and not really in a loving way, either. They, while never laying a hand on him, verbally abused Oscar, leading him to develop a perfectionist attitude and a dependence on anything that will make him feel better. The Adderall, however, came from a need to do better in school. He saw it as a way to finally "please" his parents by getting straight A's, since he could "focus better." However, this soon turned into a reliance on the drug, as its effects caused him to be less focused, causing him to take more Adderall. Since Adderall is known to cause appetite suppression, Oscar has lost a lot of body mass over the three years that this has been going on. Of course, his parents view this change as "good for him" since they do not know the true cause. The drugs also leave him incredibly irritable, even more so than usual. He often shoves people who care for him away during fits of anger onset by withdrawal.
