Nexus always comes off as kinda creepy, due to his smile and face. However, he is very good in convinving people of the contrary. Like his younger brother he is mute, but even though he is mostly communicating through writing or hand signing, he always seems to know what the person wants to hear. The perfect combination to get them to make a deal. Suprisingly, Nexus isn't even that interested in making deals and oes it mainly, because the guardian told him so. In reality he just wants some peace and freedom, spending time with his younger brother and maybe do some not so innocent stuff on his own accord.
Nexus hates to be controlled by others, but unfortunately for him the guardian is quite a powerful person. Sohe does what she orders him to, but would backstab as soon as he gets the chance to do so. Now. For the people that want to become friends with him for a reason: There is no strategy whatsover. If he likes you, he likes you. If he hates you, he hates you. People that piss Nexus off often end up getting stuck in his box. (And no, there is no oxygen in there.) Other than that Nexus does have a sense of humor. Although his humor is to scare the shit out of people.

Nexus was like his brother for years locked in the box. No, he wasn't born. You couod say he straight up spawned in it. In contrary to his brother's box, people kept their distance since Nexus' sinister aura scared them off. Nexus and his brother were what you would call background characters. They just served in their world aka stoy as an urban legend, but would never meet the main character.
Inside the box Nexus was deep asleep, but could still sense the aura of other people that came close to his box.
The fact that they were just background characters made it easy for the guardian to get them out of their story without screwing anything up in their world.
