Description

Ramses was only a child when his father died from a disease he had never known of. Devastation hit him, since He had only been raised by his father. His mother had never made himself known otherwise, and still doesn't know her at all. He still has fond memories of his father to this day, holding him in high regard even after all these years.

After his father had died, he was brought to his uncle Job and his aunt Karen, who had raised him since then. His uncle was around often, as he was a medical transcriptionist, and they'd usually watch old westerns together in the evenings, when school work was finished and it wasn't quite time for bed. His aunt Karen was a substitute teacher, which meant she was around but not always. She had two pet parakeets and had taught Ramses how to care for them when he was young. This encouraged his love for birds, as well as taught him skills he unknowingly would need later.

With the help and company of his uncle and aunt, he ultimately finished elementary, middle, and high-school. He went to college for a time, studying biology, zoology, and geology. They were subjects he had shown special interest in. He would have taken more courses but, unfortunately, his funds did run out, and he didn't wish to burden his uncle and aunt with college debt. So he stopped there and found himself working at the local supermarket thereafter.

He would've rose up in rank rather quickly if his boss hadn't been so hard on him. Customers enjoyed him. He was known for his impeccable manners and his gentlemanly demeanor. Unfortunately, the boss didn't like him very much and so kept him at a low position. Ramses didn't seem to mind... for a time, anyway. However after about a year, he up and quit. Not just because of the rudeness of his boss but also because multiple people had come up to him and actually encouraged him to leave, not wishing to see him suffer any longer. Heck, even his own uncle and aunt thought enough was enough.

He remained unemployed for about a month before his uncle got out the paper one day and pointed out a job listing in particular. It was for a park caretaker. Specifically, they were looking for people specializing in avian care, since the park had only recently began purchasing and taming a well-known species of predatory bird known as the Island Parrot Eagle. He had the credentials for it, and so signed up. He was accepted right away, which was honestly a bit shocking to him, but nevertheless was very grateful for the opportunity to participate in a job that involved birds and the outdoors. Two things he loved the most.

It has been a year and a half since he had started this job and he still loves coming to work every day. He loves his eagle (he calls her 'his' since she only responds well to him anyway), Arelli, and continuously spends time with her just about wherever she is. He often finds himself alone one second and her close by the next. He personally believes she doesn't think he can handle himself without her around. Where she got such a notion, he wouldn't know. They are almost constantly by each other, not leaving each other for too, too long.
