Profile

"Umia... If I ever find you... I'll make you pay for taking away my title"

One of the past empresses of Apismia, and part of the Venda clan.

.•°Backstory°•.

Before she even gained a name, Vega was a simple wanderer in the unfamiliar landscape of Apismia. Just born, she had no connections, no belongings, nothing. That was until she came across the Venda Clan.
Even with little to no knowledge on the inkdrian species, they took her in and raised her. There she received both her name and her first color, a dark blue from one of her two oracle assigned colors and the gratitude she felt for raising her.

As time went on, Vega became known as an adept fighter and a rising star among the clan members. During a meeting of the high council, Vega's name was brought of many times, wit the current clan leader taking quite the interest in her. He prophesied that Vega was the "True Emperor of Apismia" as foretold in the legend that the clan was founded on. At first, the other counsel members dismissed the leader's idea as impossibility, though as the leader brought it up more and more, this idea began to spread among them.
A few months after it was first brought up, the clan leader officially crowned Vega his successor.

For years afterward, Vega was trained in the ways of leadership, and learned to perfect her combat abilities. She was shaping up to be just a great if not more so that the current one, and with a few months away from her coronation she felt as ready as she'd ever been. That was, until the counsel members told her, her final task before becoming the clan's leader.
At first, Vega was shocked. Travel into the desert and activate the sacred orbs? It sounded like a death sentence, however just as the former leader had done before to them, the council assured the inkdrian that this was not only her destiny, but the destiny of the clan as well.
Soon, Vega was on her way towards the Shrine of the Sacred Orbs, to live up to the expectations put upon her.

It took a fortnight to finally arrive at her destination, however when she did, she was greeted by the smiling face of the Orbs' guardian, as well as a meal ready for her.
After a short rest, she began to explain why she made the journey, only to be met with a knowing look, and a wave from the guardian to follow. The two of them made their way up the shrine's stairs.
At the plateau, the guardian told Vega that she had to be alone while she channelled the Orbs' power, and began the walk down the shrine once more, as Vega stepped forward, eyes affixed to the sacred artifacts that glowed in her presence.

Slowly, Vega knelt down and prayed, as a tingling sensation began to fill her body. She knew she had felt this sensation before, and it wasn't hard for her to pinpoint. It was the same feeling she had when she gain her blue color.
After a good few minutes of prayer, Vega rose once again. Opening her eyes, she noticed something new about her. in her hair were specks of teal, the same color as the sacred orbs.
"...they were right..." Vega thought as she bowed once more to the orbs, then slowly made her way down the shrine's steps, and proudly readied herself for the trek back.

Months past, and Vega was finally crowned as the new leader of the Venda clan: the Emperor of the Vendian Legend, prophesied to unite the entirety of Apismia. With this new responsibility, Vega began to conquer the neighbouring land, belonging to the Kingdom  of Thersant.
At first, the Thersantian monarchy saw the Venda clan as nothing but a nuisance, however within a few short months, the Venda Empire's territory grew threefold, and the Kingdom of Thersant couldn't afford to turn a blind eye any longer.

More than a decade later, and these two nations were at stalemate. That was, until a Vendian named Venda Umia joined the Thersantians' side.
Umia, the daughter of the Vendian prophet who forsaw the Prophecy of the True Emperor, knew there was something wrong with what Vega claimed, and went to find the truth for herself.
The Vendian told the Thersantian King everything she knew in the hopes that this would stop her rampaging clan, and thankfully, it did.
With this knowledge, the Kingdom of Thersant was finally able to push through the Vendian armies, and slowly began to force the clan back into their original territory.

In the heat of this grand loss for the Venda Empire, Vega felt a familiar sensation once more. As she shouted for her forces to keep their hold, and as news of the traitorous Venda Umia came in, a new color began to surface: Crimson red.
She had lost what she believed she was destined to have, and had left her clan in ruin, but the blood-like shade she could now see only fuelled her ambition.

Over the years since, Venda Vega has tried to retake the land her "Empire" used to control. However, with the move of the Thersantian capital, as well as their constant surveillance of the clan, no attempts have been successful. However, this still doesn't dampen Vega's determination; she is just waiting for the right moment to strike.
