Serious and down to earth. Doesn't believe in getting his hopes up for any reason, and is almost always serious in his interactions with others. He believes a serious demeanor is the fastest way to get information out of others, thus doesn't ever really sit down and relax or have fun. Seems almost lonely in nature though he refuses to admit it.

As a foal, Sama'el was plagued with visions. Most of which he couldn't make sense of with his young mind, and thus attempted to turn to his father for help. The strength of these visions and the unstable power within him instead struck fear within the older stallion. Before he had even entered his young adult life, Sama'el was fashioned decorative armor that was then secretly enchanted to dampen his powers and lock them away where he couldn't even learn to use it all.
His father's fear and willingness to hide away the gift from the Pantheon rather than embrace it struck a chord of betrayal within Sama'el once he was old enough to understand. The two fought it out for days before Sam up and left home, not willing to stay near his father for another minute. Instead he did his best to learn about what little of his power he could access on his own, attempting to use his visions to come to the aid of those in need. Yet due to his larger size and threatening armor, most turn him away out of fear.
Discouraged, Sama'el wandered as far from Protokeros lands as he could, eventually coming across the lands that his late mother hailed from: The Polar Wilds. Maybe here he could do some good without facing rejection.
